I'm having trouble selecting the Justices on the ballot for California's Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. Any reliable sources out there I can go to? Tom McClintock has a great guide for the Propositions, http://tommcclintock.com/blog/tom-mcclintock-on-the-propositions
www.judgevoterguide.com. It ranks judges based on how conservative and strict constructionist they are, and makes a recommendation on whether they should be approved.
I love McClintock - voted for him for Gov but I think he advocates a yes on prop 25. He’s wrong on this. I say definitely no - never lower the number of votes needed to pass a bill - especially anything to do with money. If the bill has merit, 2/3 of people will vote in favor. Lowering the threshold to 50% will only make it easier for the dems to take our money.
I have McClintock’s recommendations, and he said no on 25.
As an aside: I voted about 8:00 AM and our polling place was easy in and easy out. There were about 15 people voting at that time. All was orderly. My polling place is in the North Los Angeles County area.
Get your facts straight before you start shooting off.
Tom is right on all the propositions, as usual.

Only excuse I can see for not doing the homework a long time ago.

McClintoc is a solid no on 25. Check his page. Here’s his stance:
“Prop 25: Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire. NO. This changes the 2/3 vote requirement for the state budget to a simple majority – a reform I have long supported. Experience has shown that the current 2/3 vote requirement for the budget does not restrain spending and it utterly blurs accountability. But such a reform MUST repair the 2/3 vote requirement for all tax increases and restore constitutional spending and borrowing limits. Without these provisions, Prop. 25 would be a disaster for taxpayers and a recipe for bankruptcy”.
