Am I in an alternate reality here?
Next you will be called names. Truth does that to trolls.

Not a victim, just someone who is being paid to do my job, taking abuse is part of it. It’s just a shame that some people feel they have the right to verbally abuse others.

Just where did I say in any of my posts that I was different than anyone else? I didn’t.

Everyone doesn't agree with this person, or fall in lockstep, so this person wants them banned or eliminated.

Communist style.

I'll bet that job and factory have been gone for while. This plant means "made in America" You are describing a good job at a good wage that you could buy a house with. Where in the 1970s your wife could stay at home and not have to work and some of the public schools were good. Quite a contrast with working overtime at a low wage WalMart job selling communist China made items

You are correct on one point, my plant did close down at the end of 2006 and Ford (who we were a supplier to) didn't blink an eye. Nor did the UAW who were primarily responsible for the elevated wages at my company that ultimately made us non-competitors in providing body stampings.........

WalMart provides jobs to the undereducated and underskilled and people work for WalMart because they provide wages and benefits that are not available in their respective communities.......These are retail jobs only.

And as a side note Dennis, you would be amazed at the number of WalMart employees here in S.E. Michigan who are spouses of Big 3 employees..

And for the folks who shop at WalMart, they don't give a rats ass where the stuff is made just as long as it fits in their price range.....that's just the way it is homie.

Nope, just alerting management to posters who call FReepers names and who line up with unions. FREEDOM. Try it sometime. It works.

Wages AND benefits. Better usually than the other retail jobs that they compete with.

Long lines waiting for a job. If those people stayed on the job once they are hired there wouldn’t be long lines at the registers now would there. Most stay two weeks then leave. They are constantly hiring because people are constantly quitting.

Are you calling me a troll?
Why?
If you want a job at retail- then work the damn holiday.
Just like everyone else who has had to work the holidays over the course of their careers.

It’s best just to ignore them. It’s like leaving an annoying, yippy little dog alone. Sooner or later they get tired of barking without a response.

I am agreeing with you. The attackers here, the trolls, will start their attacks any minute now. I was just giving you a “heads up”, incoming fire!

Easy, when people ATTACK FReepers and line up with the UNIONS here on the FREE Republic, responsible FReepers ping the management. Trolls are often well and deeply bla bla bla bla bla bla blab blab

Anyone ever tell ya there are now *more* unionized Government employees in the U.S. than in the private sector?

If anyone is a troll here, it's likely you.

But then again, you could just be a naive, uninformed fool.

Nope. That is like ignoring a weed. It flowers and attracts others. Weeding takes work but the end result is worth it.

Duh. How many "unionized Government employees" would anyone find in the private sector?

Accounting and MBA,but she thinks her age was against her in many instances-——late forties.

She has since found a good job but it was very discouraging for her-—she has had good jobs for many years.

Just how, by a few posts do you know how I interact with my customers?

I treat them with the same respect I would expect when checking out. It is not the customers fault they are unhappy, it’s the companys.

I have gotten to know many of the customers that come to my lane and they are great people and when they complain it makes me feel bad because there is nothing I can do. I enjoy their company. Don’t judge my work ethic or my performance unless you have seen how I do my job. That is unfair.

They "deserve" freedom. If they choose to take a paycheck instead of a secular holiday, that is called FREEDOM. They can choose to get another job. One that gives them a different schedule. They could raise the capital and start their own store and be the boss. FREEDOM. It works. Try it sometime.

The problem is, they’re little more than Obama style agitators. Arguing with them is like wrestling with a pig. You get dirty and they enjoy it.
