It's a one party (liberal) system with two faces. It's time for a conservative party.

Two parties have power of any sort in the US. How are you going to get this "conservative party" to do anything? Win one race. The "Constitution Party" has been around for years and has done nothing unless you count Bob Smith who was only elected as a Republican.

There are good Republicans. Tim Walberg. Mike Pence. With primaries, more folks like that can win, starting at the local level.

In the United States, We the People are the sovereign. Not the President. And we have no King.

And we honor the sovereign (us, that is), when we vote our concience.

I won't vote for a liberal. If the GOP keeps putting up liberals, I won't vote for them.

You and Jimmy Carter may be comfortable with a Romney presidency, but I'm not.

I'm referring to the party, not Romney. Romney isn't the party. He's one man.

The Republican Party is bigger than the presidency.

McCain was not elected so we will never know if things would have been better or worse. We can only suppose.

There are persons in both parties in high offices who are working to change, to alter our Constitutional government forever. I think Romney is one of them. Obama is another. Will not...cannot in good conscience vote for either. Chips fall where they may.

It takes organization, hard work, and patience.

It takes more than that. Since the elites are entrenched, they can and do destroy every conservative to come forward (Rove is good at that), so only 'moderates' survive.

As long as the entrenched top guys have their dirty tricks machine, and media complicity, the GOP won't change.

They are dead to me.

Maybe so, but I have never met a optimistic Conservative who has decided to leave the GOP.

It is more like a sad resignation that has taken much thought and angst.

Maybe you need to get out more. I walked away from the party when Bush 1 caved on taxes and the 'assault weapons' ban.

I didn't look back and felt no angst.

I didn't leave the party, it left me.

The “elites” are entrenched because people let them be entrenched. You can work to get the best folks in, or you can be like Private Pyle on the obstacle course and quit.

I will be voting for Romney. At least he understands how to run a business. Obama only understands how to run his mouth.

Thanks for your service, Navy Vet. I hope you come around, hold your nose (like me) and vote for Romney. He ain’t perfect, but neither was W....and W gave us Alito and Roberts...

Excellent points. This election is about the economy ... something Obama knows nothing about. That's one thing that Mittens does understand. Now, I'm not sold on his ability to appoint conservative justices ... his track record doesn't support that idea ... but we know beyond a doubt what kind of justice Obama would appoint.

I will cast my vote against Obama ... even if that means checking the box next to Mittens' name.

I don’t blame you. I wish Virginia could secede. Only problem is, we’d have to take northern VA, and our Romney-licking governor and lt. governor with us.

Nope, they are entrenched because they own the rule book, and when a true conservative moves up, they change the rules, or use some other dirty trick to sideline them.

Can't fight on that ground. It's a long wait where a train don't come.

Best to bypass them entirely, and cut them off so that they starve.

Enabling them is like an abused wife going back to 'try to save the marriage'. It never ends well.

I won't enable them.

Last night's outcome makes your 'close my eyes and think of England ' quip seem eerily and sadly prescient.

"My math scores were rather good, btw. :)"

Okay. Then you understand that plus one in column A does not equal plus one in column B.

"If Mr. Obama wins, good luck."

Thanks, but I don't believe much in luck. I really believe God takes care of His own. I'm going to vote the way I know is right, and leave the rest up to Him.

Darwin dead? I didn't even know he was sick!

“Darwin rewards nobody.”

Congratulations! Consider yourself nominated.
