Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

These people are not conservatives.

One of the highest ranked conservatives (with a lifetime rating of 90) on Conservative.org is running for Senate in Nevada. He is Dean Heller and he is a Mormon.

This “Elsie” person and the “Colorfornicator” are here to spread anti-Mormon hatred, likely in support of Heller’s opponent.

The are disgusting in their vitriol and will be exposed to all who sit and watch.

If they were true conservatives, they would be in full support of Heller. His voting record as a conservative is stellar.

As Reagan once said, here we go again! Ryan is way more than just "a good man" as stated. He puts himself out there every day working for values. He gets the job done with the most negative atmosphere. The man goes out and works for the people every day. All races and *all religions*. Religious freedom as our founding father's wanted. That's a man to admire and respect. Romney is not RNC dictated. He made his own decision on VP and it's brilliant.

Hannity, Coulter among many other Conservative/Republicans never comment about this forum much anymore. I wonder what Tony Snow would say to this. Rush has only mentioned FR once recently but I doubt he will again in a very long time. Especially, if he sees or hears about this type of thread, yet again. I know he hasn't much in the past and didn't wonder why.

When we look at our kids and think of their kids, Don't you want them to have an opportunity to live in America, with the spirit of America. Not hateful talk. Rather than Obama and his ilk telling them what or what they can't do or even say in every avenue of their lives.

I want my Mom who is old and frail yet disposable to them, to be treated with her medicine. We love her. I want meds when I'm old a frail. Don't you?? That is at risk. Don't fool yourself it's not. The moment has arrived.

Don't you want our children to have the opportunity to elect someone that is amazing in the future? Don't you want our children to have the right to protest against abortion and not be shut up because it's in the new law???

You are all giving up if you won't vote or decide to write in. If you think it's due to your principles or morals not voting for Romney then you are totally selfish, self absorbed!! to others it's about our country's future. Our children's future. It's not about you and your mind set there are a lot of us to consider. If you really cared, then do something for senate elections or the next run for President. It's not all or nothing. Could be if Obama is elected.

The most important thing any conservative can do today is work to vote out the biggest scourge we have had in the presidency. Ever.

This is the most divisive, pro-Marxist, pro-death, pro-muzzie, most hateful, anti-American, anti-small business (okay, anti-business), anti-everything we claim to love and care for administration ever, and every day they are taking away bit by bit what we love. It's demonstrable what they do, it makes me sick every day to wake up and find some new outrage.

Like Palin has said, ABO. Support the nominee, and get as many conservatives elected and democrats unelected down ticket.

She understands, Newt understands, Santorum understands, Perry understands, Bachmann understands, and somehow the stakes of this election escape a lot of FR posters. If this administration remains, it's done, we're finished. Get rid of the bassturd and his minions once and for all time. Relegate these folks to go cry and whine in Chicago.

Well some aren’t listening or didn’t hear it. I saved the thread that the poster Colofornian had deleted.

Well, you're either sadly mistaken or prone or lying (I don't know which)...I had no thread deleted this week...

I'm not exactly sure why we have FREEPERs like yourself who think bearing false witness about their neighbors is an attractive trait that would somehow draw potential people to their movement...

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're mistaken -- vs. outright lying -- because I don't know your inward motives...but bearing false witness doesn't take "intent" into consideration.

You're wrong...basing your comment off of the false slander of others...

I have read all of your posts. You are very good at name-calling. I never said anything about bigotry. The owner of Free Republic has always been very clear about his feelings regarding Romney’s politics. It’s not complicated.

I doubt Free Republic will become a pro-Romney site. If you want to promote him, why not do it somewhere elsewhere?

Well, “LC” may SAY it’s a man.

I have “LC/Elsie” pegged as a lesbian plant, here to spread it’s hatred to make true Christian conservatives look like idiots.

Why else would “IT” not support a TRUE CONSERVATIVE like Dean Heller.

It’s one thing to oppose Romney for his views- I get that and I’m voting for him only to be voting AGAINST Obama.

But these anti-Mormon shills couldn’t care less about the Conservative cause. They are here only to make Conservatives look like fools.

Yes.

(Not much of a "Christian" witness there)

Certainly not winsome to people who claim to want to represent the "face of conservativism"

"And who knows? Maybe if Romney loses we'll be shut of the "country club" types once and for all. We'll actually have a party base to start from. As it is, we have at the top only people who are ashamed to be in the same party as us Tea Party types. "

That's going to take a lot of doing. The Republicans are about to pick as their representative the candidate with the most money. How fitting. When money talks, Republicans listen. Money R us.

Conservatives can't raise enough free $peech to compete in the Political Olympics.

One of the tenants this country was founded on....

Mayflower Compact

In the name of God, Amen.
We, whose names are underwritten, the loyal subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord King James, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, King, defender of the Faith, etc.

Having undertaken, for the Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith and honor of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the Northern parts of Virginia, do by these presents, solemnly and mutually, in the presence of God, and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil body politic; for our better ordering, and preservation and furtherance of the ends aforesaid; and by virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal laws, ordinances, acts, constitutions, and offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general good of the colony; unto which we promise all due submission and obedience.

In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names at Cape Cod the 11th of November, in the year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord King James, of England, France, and Ireland, the eighteenth, and of Scotland the fifty-fourth, 1620.

What is his position today, as a candidate for president?
***His position is to say whatever it takes to convince people to vote for him. There are many gullibles who like to call themselves conservative that buy into his lies.

I really don’t understand it. They tell us that we’re a tiny minority, but they are so vested in calling us names and trying to “shame” us into voting for Romney.

If we’re such a tiny minority, why can’t they just ignore us?

(psst... It's because independent conservatives still make the critical difference more than independent " moderates " do, otherwise the GOP wouldn't expend the energy).

I will state again- I am voting for Romney ONLY because I am voting against Obama. Period.

Mitt was NOT my choice. I am pro-life, pro family (as defined by G*d) and do NOT like his voting history.

But if you haven’t noticed- there are several “Christians” here who are doing nothing other than to try and fracture this site and the cause of conservatism with anti-Mormon vitriol and hatred.

You can sit by and let them do it if you like. But for me, this site has been the true definition of the entire conservative movement for many years. I will go down fighting before I see it torn apart by hate-mongers in the name of “God”.

I can’t make it any clearer.

Did you miss this post earlier today? It reflects the views of several FReepers:

“Make sure you vote straight conservative. It’s absolutely imperative that we increase our majority in the congress and retake the senate, regardless of who wins the presidency. We have a major constitutional crisis coming and we’d best be ready to face it.”

Many of our forefathers came to America to flee religious persecution. Kind of ironic to have a thread like this on a site which ostensibly believes in the founding principles of our nation.
