Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

I thought weren’t allowed to quote all of a NY Times article and it had to be excerpted?

You may post up to 300 words. You posted those few words you thought proved your point.

A poster claimed he didn’t veto pro abortion legislation. He did, and I know that isn’t enough for some people, but it is for me.

As the very article pointed out, Romney changed his position 180° when he refused to sign that bill, That was the starting point of his change that he knew must take place for him to have any hope at a run for national office on the "R" ticket. That was July, 2005, after being vehemently pro abort all his adult life.

You sound like you are already defeated. Don’t worry, the rest of us will carry the weight for you.
***You go ahead and carry the weight of RINOism. We’ll carry the weight of conservatism.

Yeah Willard found out that he could lie easily about the guys running the Olympics and shove them out and take over...

it was th perfect steppi ng stone to put on his resume for his POTUS run

the run Big Daddy george Romney had groomed him for since boyhood..

So he up and left Bain immediately...

No warning no nothin...

No goodbye kiss no 2 weeks notice...

Bain was in poor straits because they didnt know what Willard had been doing in his part of the firm...

The partners left behind werent very happy with Wee Willie...

at Bain Willard was part of a group of Democrat friends...

I can well imagine one getting back at him now by spilling the beans on him and telling Harry Reid what is known about him...

They know hes not fit to be POTUS...

Just an observation but Ive never noticed people spouting Mormonism in Free Republic, and I read FR all day every day for the last 14 years. I only notice folks who preach the dangers of Mormonism. Occasionaly I see a Mormon post a very subdued reference to their experience as a Mormon not being what others are saying here. Actually I’m surprised their posts are so subdued.
Of course I may have missed some Mormon posts but I sure haven’t seen proseltyzing by Mormons here.

Yeah three whopping days. Not power, just a reminder that this place doesn’t tolerate bigots.
***When Jesus confronted the false teachers of his day, he called them ‘vipers’ and ‘sons of the devil’. Was He a bigot?

You keep posting to me like you are posting to someone else, it is very confusing.

You keep denying your own church as you keep defending Mormonism and attacking Christians.

You don’t know what the Catholic position on Mormonism is, do you?

Do you think that your church re baptizes Christians when they switch to the Catholic denomination? The Catholic church does not allow a second baptism, one Christian baptism is enough, and all.

Mormons are not Christians though.

As to the POTUS election of 2012, conservatives lost this election when Mittler obtained a majority of the GOP delegates. As Mittler's pom pom girls are so fond of reminding us, either Romney or Obozo will be elected this year. Therefore, victory is impossible. I will vote for Tom Hoefling if he is on the ballot and for Virgil Goode otherwise. I won't have to confess my vote therefore as a sin.

As to galluping pro-abort Mittler, what actual bills that were pro-abort did he ever veto? What pro-life bills did he ever sign? If you are talking about his claims to be pro-life, please understand that you can know easily when he lies: His lips move.

My attitude towards Mittler has nothing whatsoever to do with his claimed Mormonism but rather with his despicable track record. There are people here who cheer fror Mittler and make some kind of comparison between Ronaldus Maximus's conversion on the issue and Mittler's. Such claims are frankly ridiculous. Reagan turned hard to pro-life and never waivered. Mittler is a weathervane on the issue. I can't speak for you or others but I don't like being lied to by Mittler on such an issue.

I don't share the single-minded obsession of several here that the entire world depends on defeating Obozo and only upon defeating Obozo. Romney is just as bad or even worse on the issues I care about which do not include a blindered obsession with $$$. In fact, if the taxes on Mittler's corrupt Wall Street backers were sharply raised to make it impossible for them to fund another RINO campaign of smears, slanders, libels, lies and character assassinations of every Republican worthy of the name next time such as they funded this year, it would be a good thing for the USA and an even better thing for the GOP.

Since I never favored Obozo or anything at any time named Romney, I cannot very well be defeated further this year in this year's POTUS election. If you vote for Romney, you aren't carrying anything for me. Hold those hallucinations in check.

Certain folks on this forum are behaving like flaming idiots, and they are not to be confused with Jesus in their confronting of anybody.

If you wish to align yourself with them, if you wish to hold up their behaviour as exemplary of good Christianity, that's your business.

Count me out. I find it repugnant. I find them repugnant. I'm suspicious of anybody who doesn't find it and them repugnant.

Good day, sir.

So there’s 631 laws to obey as a jew, 7 as a non-jew. Under such a system it would be safe to say there’s more non-jews in heaven than jews.

Certain folks on this forum are behaving like flaming idiots, and they are not to be confused with Jesus in their confronting of anybody.
***And yet, they’re doing exactly what Jesus did when He confronted false teachers in His day. Who are you to say they are “not to be confused with Jesus in their confronting of anybody?” Jesus did it, and now they are doing it. They are confronting false teaching. Where is the confusion?

If you wish to align yourself with them, if you wish to hold up their behaviour as exemplary of good Christianity, that’s your business.
***I do align with them. What they are doing is what Christ did.

Count me out. I find it repugnant. I find them repugnant.
***And by doing so, you would find Christ repugnant, because He also confronted the false teachers of His day.

I’m suspicious of anybody who doesn’t find it and them repugnant.
***You would be suspicious of Jesus, then.

I know who I’m posting to, a fool who presumes to lecture others on their own religion, not yours.

Now you are going on about the Catholic Church’s policy on re-baptizing former Catholic former Mormon re-converts.

And that is supposed to convince me of exactly what?

You don’t believe in the authority of my Church, why would you cite its doctrines on Mormonism to me? I bet you don’t accept my Church’s views on protestants, now do you?

And you presumed to tell me you don’t believe I’m Catholic. Yeah that makes me want to jump right into your anti Mormon silliness.

I’m still waiting to hear from Elsie on whether Catholics and Jews engage in or follow false teachings.

That was it??? We used to have caucus forums for individual religions, and they posted some video discussions of their religions?

The one you posted was from early 2010, now 2 1/2 years later people are bashing Mormonism, telling me I’m not a Catholic, and going on about Mormonism as a great threat.

And you believe that is justified as a “response” to religious discussions on forums FR used to have 2 years ago???

The Mormons committed a big offense by participating in these caucuses that FR permitted for various religions?

You keep ranting at me, calling me names, claiming things that aren’t true.

I haven’t lectured you about your religion, why are you claiming that, and why do you keep posting to me about Elsie?

You keep mixing me up with other posters and making confused, and confusing, hostile posts to me, that don’t have anything to do with me.

I have have a pretty simple question that you keep evading, are you under the impression that Mormonism is a Christian church?

I am consistent. Admonishing others for behaviors that are contrary to the Scripture is....Scriptural.

Judging someone’s standing before God, such as saying you are able to divine their inner thoughts, salvation, and heart by stating they are unbelievers or are not born again, or are not Christians, is contrary to Scripture and forbidden by God.

I have done the former, and you and your zealots are doing the latter.
