Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Your behavior more exemplifies the father of lies.

Oh!

You are judging my behavior; eh?

No, I am admonishing your behavior, which appears to willfully go against Christ’s teachings. For many years, many posters have pointed out to you that your behavior is against Scriptural teachings, unbecoming of a Christian, and destroying your testimony. Yet, you continue with the same behaviors, which are contrary to Scripture.

I'll say.

I wish I had as much time as I used to. Wading through a thread like this (4000+ posts, spanning several days) takes some doing.

BTW, Anti-Bubba182.

There is a huge distortion of reality and FR Forum history by Anti-Bubba182 in this thread.

BTW, Anti-Bubba182, have I ever told you this before.

I’ve noticed a tendency that you use some straw argumentation.

now 2 1/2 years later people are bashing Mormonism,
***Was Jesus ‘bashing’ the false teachers of His day, when he called them “vipers” and “Sons of the devil”?

telling me I’m not a Catholic,
***IIRC, the poster questioned whether you were a catholic. I think you’ve been pinged by at least one catholic, have you answered their questions?

and going on about Mormonism as a great threat.
***It is a false teaching.

And you believe that is justified as a “response” to religious discussions on forums FR used to have 2 years ago???
***The false teaching is still being pushed here on FR, so why wouldn’t that be a justified response?

Take it up with your priest...if you have one.

He should be interested in your defense of a cult that for 150 years labeled the Catholic church "Whore of Babylon".

I am consistent. Admonishing others for behaviors that are contrary to the Scripture is....Scriptural.
***And that is exactly what Elsie is doing. Don’t you think the deity of Christ is worthy of defense?

Judging someone’s standing before God, such as saying you are able to divine their inner thoughts
***Straw argument. Point it out if it happened.

, salvation,
***The new testament is filled with admonitions against false teachers, and the salvation of the false teachers was very much in doubt. Do you accuse Peter, Paul, and Jesus of doing the wrong thing?

and heart by stating they are unbelievers or are not born again, or are not Christians,
***Christians believe that Jesus is God. Anti-christian cults like the mormons, Jehovah’s witnesses, Christian Science do not.

is contrary to Scripture and forbidden by God.
***By all means, point that out in scripture. In the meantime, answer the question: When Jesus confronted the false teachers of His day, he called them ‘vipers’ and “sons of the devil”. How is this any different? Would you accuse Christ of not being Christ-like? Then why do you accuse His followers when they do the same thing?

I have done the former, and you and your zealots are doing the latter.
***I don’t see you confronting this antichristian false teaching, as Christ would have done. So your scriptural backing is falling apart.

No, I am admonishing your behavior, which appears to willfully go against Christ’s teachings.
***Christ called the false teachers of his day, ‘vipers’ and “sons of the devil”. You are telling a follower of Christ that when he confronts a false teaching, he’s “willfully going against Christ’s teachings”. Did Christ “willfully go against Christ’s teachings”?

For many years, many posters have pointed out to you that your behavior is against Scriptural teachings, unbecoming of a Christian, and destroying your testimony.
***Sounds like they would criticize Christ for the same thing.

Yet, you continue with the same behaviors, which are contrary to Scripture.
***Prove it. Answer the question above. If Jesus did it, why would He expect us NOT to?

I’ve posted Scripture already. I won’t be posting it again so you won’t read it, again.

I’ve already said exactly what you all are doing, and what you’re doing is acting in a manner contrary to Scripture.

You are divining another’s heart by making statements that they do not belong to Christ, are not saved, are not Christians. You are not God, you are forbidden to judge (divine) another’s beliefs and standing with God.

When you teach, you are to teach as Christ said, in love and with love, and those Scriptures of how a Christian is to act was also already posted.

You are destroying your testimony by acting in a manner that is contrary to God’s Word.

I’ve already proven it by posting Scriptures which show you are acting against Scripture.

Like the pharisees in Christ’s day, you have hardened your heart to the Truth of the Word.

Oh, let’s start with MURDER.

Obviously, it entails the DEATH of another human.
Is that why courts of law are established, to say that some human deaths, caused by man, are NOT ‘murder’.

Jesus said...

Matthew 5:21.

You have heard that it was said to the men of old, ‘You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be liable to judgment.’

22 But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother shall be liable to the council, and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be liable to the hell of fire.

Please answer:

Muddying the water ain't working.

Mormonism has a FOUNDATION of false teaching, not mere INTERPRETATION of Scripture.

The Doctrine and Covenants

Section 132

Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Nauvoo, Illinois, recorded 12 July 1843, relating to the new and everlasting covenant, including the eternity of the marriage covenant, and also the plurality of wives (see History of the Church, 5:501–7). Although the revelation was recorded in 1843, it is evident from the historical records that the doctrines and principles involved in this revelation had been known by the Prophet since 1831.

1–6, Exaltation is gained through the new and everlasting covenant; 7–14, The terms and conditions of that covenant are set forth; 15–20, Celestial marriage and a continuation of the family unit enable men to become gods; 21–25, The strait and narrow way leads to eternal lives; 26–27, The law is given relative to blasphemy against the Holy Ghost; 28–39, Promises of eternal increase and exaltation are made to prophets and Saints in all ages; 40–47, Joseph Smith is given the power to bind and seal on earth and in heaven; 48–50, The Lord seals upon him his exaltation; 51–57, Emma Smith is counseled to be faithful and true; 58–66, Laws governing the plurality of wives are set forth.

16Therefore, when they are out of the world they neither marry nor are given in amarriage; but are appointed angels in bheaven, which angels are ministering cservants, to minister for those who are worthy of a far more, and an exceeding, and an eternal weight of glory.

17For these angels did not abide my law; therefore, they cannot be enlarged, but remain separately and singly, without exaltation, in their saved condition, to all eternity; and from henceforth are not gods, but are aangels of God forever and ever.

18And again, verily I say unto you, if a man marry a wife, and make a covenant with her for time and for all eternity, if that acovenant is not by me or by my word, which is my law, and is not sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise, through him whom I have anointed and appointed unto this power, then it is not valid neither of force when they are out of the world, because they are not joined by me, saith the Lord, neither by my word; when they are out of the world it cannot be received there, because the angels and the gods are appointed there, by whom they cannot pass; they cannot, therefore, inherit my glory; for my house is a house of order, saith the Lord God.

19And again, verily I say unto you, if a man amarry a wife by my word, which is my law, and by the new and beverlasting covenant, and it is csealed unto them by the Holy Spirit of dpromise, by him who is anointed, unto whom I have appointed this power and the ekeys of this priesthood; and it shall be said unto them—Ye shall come forth in the first resurrection; and if it be after the first resurrection, in the next resurrection; and shall inherit fthrones, kingdoms, principalities, and powers, dominions, all heights and depths—then shall it be written in the Lamb’s gBook of Life, that he shall commit no hmurder whereby to shed innocent iblood, and if ye abide in my covenant, and commit no murder whereby to shed innocent blood, it shall be done unto them in all things whatsoever my servant hath put upon them, in time, and through all eternity; and shall be of full force when they are out of the world; and they shall pass by the angels, and the gods, which are set there, to their jexaltation and glory in all things, as hath been sealed upon their heads, which glory shall be a fulness and a continuation of the kseeds forever and ever.

20 Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from aeverlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be bgods, because they have call power, and the angels are subject unto them.

21Verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye abide my alaw ye cannot attain to this glory.

22For astrait is the gate, and narrow the bway that leadeth unto the exaltation and continuation of the clives, and few there be that find it, because ye receive me not in the world neither do ye know me.

23But if ye receive me in the world, then shall ye know me, and shall receive your exaltation; that awhere I am ye shall be also.

24This is aeternal lives—to bknow the only wise and true God, and Jesus Christ, whom he hath csent. I am he. Receive ye, therefore, my law.

25aBroad is the gate, and wide the way that leadeth to the bdeaths; and many there are that go in thereat, because they creceive me not, neither do they abide in my law.
