Choosing whether to vote for Romney or not will pale in comparison to the moral choices that will have to be made by every American if Obama is re-elected.
It's wrong to pull a Snipes and not pay the taxes required by law. But there's absolutely nothing wrong with asking for the tax laws to be changed.

And I dont object to someone trumping anything with personal convictions. I do have issue with saying God will some day make bench rulings based on voting for or against a particular candidate. But by all means, as I’ve said on FR before, if you really feel that you shouldn’t vote for someone then don’t...I’d never call anyone a name or criticize for that.

I just want someone to explain to me in great detail when supporting homosexuality, abortion and the rest of it became the litmus test for being a ‘good christian’.
Because a vote cast to elect a person espousing those things gives that person power to enable more of it. They can lie to themselves about what they are doing, they can rationalize what they re doing, but it is still ‘what they are doing’.
All I can say is ‘Good luck getting God to accept what you’re doing’. Because it flies in the face of the entire Bible.
How? They haven't so far. They haven't prevented him from spending one dime less, changing one less law, or executing one less Executive Order. EO’s ARE LAWS, Regulations of the IRS & EPA Hold the power of LAW. They can only be undone by a vote of the House and Senate AND a signature of the POTUS, or by another president.
What truth? You have yet to provide any evidence at all that Romney has actually "socked" it to Obama. If anyone is having an issue with truth, I think that it must be you.
EXCELLENT post and may I humbly suggest that you write a memoir detailing what you have outlined here. You are a great writer and it would also be a blessing to memorialize the suffering and redemption (through surviving and having a loving family) that your father went through. God bless you.
If one has an iota of personal integrity and believes in right and wrong, one should vote accordingly. If one thinks enabling Mitt’s record with their vote is somehow ‘conservative’ then they are self-deluding fools.
That simple.
I would gladly consider a third party candidate if he or she makes it into the debates. If he or she doesn't, then they have no chance. Voting for one if they don't make it into the debates is either a protest vote, a wasted vote, or half a vote for the greater of two evils.
