NRA ratings are meaningless. Like Republicans, the NRA is no friend of the gun-owner. Like Republicans, the NRA is a group of compromisers and sellouts. Like Republicans, the NRA supports stricter enforcement of the 20,000+ gun-control laws on the books (but not the repeal of any gun-control).

Anyone who supports stricter enforcement of gun-control deserves an F.

Impying only the "commons' would be affected by freedom.

Astounding ignorance.

Libertarianism is meaningless.

Exactly how many of Thompson's 185,085 votes was McCallum entitled to?

The NRA has been the leading opponent of the gun-control lobby. The Libertarians have been the useful idiots of the gun-control lobby.

Uh huh. And the Republican party is the party of smaller government. That's why both organizations support sctricter enforcement of the 20,000+ gun-control laws across the country (but not the repeal of any gun-control).

Of course, it would be ludicrous for anyone to assert that laws rob people of their free will choices, essentially making zombies out of them. It is ludicrous to claim that free will can be thwarted by laws, or that only perverts and criminals should enjoy free will while normal people should have no free will to decide what kind of a society they are to live in, or what actions should be tolerated or not tolerated.

"Laws rob would-be bank robbers of their free will choice of whether to rob or not!"
- Ima Phool, spokesperthing of the Libertarian Party

The laws, regulations and societal traditions we have built over the centuries have served to protect and preserve our freedoms.

Like the freedom to swim in government swimming pools?

"Different rights have different sources. The right to swim in a public pool comes from society." - Roscoe (link)

If society wants to bring back Jim Crow they should be allowed to do so?

I'm still waiting for your answers to my questions in post #529.

Using the ludicrous assertion that since God gave people free will and therefore any kind of evil must be tolerated by people, the proponents of humanist libertarianism would say "yes."

The "laws" you refer to, were of course created in a society, that is not only socialist, it is fascism lite. Create laws in a society based on the freedom God gives us, and only man takes away, then we can have a real discussion. Anything else is theory.

Note:
Your cute little picture and conjecture is not the result of freedom, but of course one of the many events a society would go through to obtain it. The idea is a society that would choose not to rob the bank.

Who asserted that any kind of evil must be tolerated? It looks like you're trying to float a Straw Man.

BTW, I'm still waiting for your answers to my questions in post #529.

"Banned in Boston" was not the name of a pre-MTV melodious troope. You are free to claim that the Founders were libertarian ideologues, but doing so would open you up to charges of historical revisionism.

CJ logic: Bank robbery is evil. But, using the force of government to plunder one another is right and just.

The irony is astounding.

You probably do. Frequently.
