How much foreign aid do we give Mexico? Isn't the aid given so that they can better the conditions of their citizens?

Given the amount of illegals crossing the border, it seems this money is being mis-spent, probably going into some politicos Swiss account.

I say stop all aid to Mexico and demand payment in full of all outstanding debts Mexico has with us . . . unless "they" stop the flow of illegals across our border.

ACLU can't complain because it will be Mexican Federales who at times will go overboard with prople trying to cross the border and not our Boarder Patrol or INS agents.

BTW, did you know that when people try to cross from Guatemala to Mexico, the Mexican governments response is to shoot first and don't ask any questions later.

Reeks of the pot calling the kettel black when they complain about how the US treats illegals crossing the boarder. Last time I checked we weren't shooting illegals on site like the Mexican government does

Regards

Sergio

Deport 'em. The INS needs reform. We have a legal Nigerian alien in our church who has been waiting for his wife's visa to be granted for SEVEN YEARS but these terrorists walk right in the door.

Deport 'em. But that will never happen. Too many bleeding hearts.

Thanks for the ping and the great post. This is something we need to do something about...for sure!

I heard about a lady today in a DC apartment building who is harrassing the landlord (my friend). He had to get a restraining order. She pays about $350 per month on a very nice $1500 per month apartment. The DC government picks up the balance on the backs of tax payers!....yes, you guessed it....she is an illegal alien!

This is an absurd situation, along with the whole immigration mess. Republicans need to stand up and do something about it!

Offer moral and financial support to the border militias that are attempting to stem this tide.

Also, those good at organizing demonstrations can get people to take to the streets in opposition to our lax immigration policy.

Oregonians for Immigration Reform
Environment - Conservation is hopeless without immigration reduction.

Traffic - Congestion is worsened by the immigrant influx.

Security - Large corporations and terrorists love open borders.

Poverty - Immigration imports poverty and lowers wages for poor Americans.

Favoritism - Foreign students get preferential treatment at U.S. universities.

Jobs - Industry creates fictitious labor shortages to avoid paying market wages.

Healthcare - Illegal immigrants bankrupt our health system.

Welfare - Immigrants are disproportionate users of public assistance.

Crime - Who is filling our prisons? Over 25% of federal inmates are aliens.

Schools - The level of immigration is so massive, it's choking our schools.

Minnesotans for Immigration Reform
Immigration has always been an important part of our heritage.

Today, however, it is out of control.

Masses of people are pouring into our country, with no sign of slowing down.

I don't know how I ended up on your list but thanks! Maybe you can tell me how to make the INS respond. So far, I've been told that although they are aware of the wineries in my area ALL with majority illegal employees, they cannot go on private property WITHOUT notifying them in advance! Also, the principals in our local schools are required to report undocumented alien students, but don't! The INS cannot require them to show them records! How to move forward here??? Any advice would be appreciated. We are losing our hospital and our schools are in the toilet.
(Sonoma, California) Best wishes and keep on posting!

Midwest Coalition to Reduce Immigration
We are a non-partisan, all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating Americans regarding the long- term consequences of present immigration laws. The evidence is overwhelming that it is in the best interests of present and future Americans to reduce annual immigration from the present unprecedented level of 1.2 to 1.5 million immigrants a year to our historic average of 300,000 a year.

1 birth every 8 seconds

(-)

1 death every 12 seconds

(+)

1 immigrant every 29 seconds

1 U.S. citizen returns every 4,828 seconds

A net gain of 1 person every 13 seconds!

It only takes 5 minutes to call you congressman

Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus’ Petition to President Overwhelms White House Email System
White House Inundated with Petitions; Americans Want Troops on U.S. Border

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Tom Tancredo (R-CO), Chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus, today announced that the Caucus’ petition urging the President to immediately deploy troops along the U.S. border has overwhelmed the White House email system.

"Perhaps the White House is finally getting the message," said Tancredo. "It’s about time they realize that the people of this country justifiably feel that the U.S. border is a sieve. It poses a real threat to our security and ignoring this fact represents the most egregious evidence that the federal government is shirking its responsibility to the people of this nation."

Since Rep. Tancredo posted the petition on Tuesday, June 11, 2002, approximately 11,403 petitions have been sent electronically to the White House. Due to the overwhelming response, the White House email system is overloaded. To sustain their email system operations, the system is sending an auto-reply to each petition with a "service unavailable" warning.

To access the petition, please visit http://www.house.gov/tancredo/

Senario: Large scale landlords often incorporated may live in one State and own and operate multifamily dwellings in other state.

The rent may be $650. The tenant pays $50..the govt chips in $600. The tenant doesn't pay the $50 for months or services. He or she is given eviction papers. However, the home office says: "We will pay the utilities which is over $2000. Don't evict the tenant!"

Thus the owner/corporation is collecting a sure thing: a monthly rent check. WE are paying that $600 a month in this just one senario...Makes you sick doesn't it!!!

Okay, here's my five minute stump: Immigration is screwed up because where ever the government tries to run a commercial enterprise, it fails miserably. Oh yes, it is a commercial enterprise. Labor is a commodity. Aliens who I doubt are legal work for the contractors who cut the grass at our complex; Mexicans hang most of the drywall going up in our area. These are productive good folks who if it were up to me, we would want to have here legally, perhaps we could trade them one for one for some of our gang bangers who have the opportunities but do drugs instead....

The solution is to allow capitalism to prevail. Immigrants should have to pay a substantial fee to get into our economy, just as we have to pay a fee to join Sam's Club. This moves the problem to the private sector as follows: employers wanting to use cheap Mexican labor would sponsor the individual and the employee would pay back the employer to be here legally. The advantage is when illegals are caught working for a company, in addition to a warning or a pre-set statutory fine, the employer would be hit with application fees for each employee (which would include cost of investigating to make sure his isn't a felon etc. plus a profit). It has many advantages, in that we can screen people coming in, we have good case law to penalize the employers in proportion to the problem rather than the way it is now......not perfect, but the new system would look something like this, and could even turn a profit provided most illegals deported could be tied to an employer

If you want a good example of the need for a stronger immigration policy that the libs will understand, suggest to them that the Indians (Native Americans to those of you in Rio Linda)would have faired much better had they had a strong immigration policy as far back as the 1400's.
