Boycott CNN

I was working out at the YMCA yesterday, when I made the mistake of turning the audio feeder for my headphones to the CNN television. As I turned, they were talking about the anniversary of the allied liberation of Auschwitz and other various concentration camps, not to be taken lightly of course. But as I was watching, waiting for Fox to come back on, they had some guest holocaust survivors come to the broadcast and voice their views and opinions about pretty much anything relating to WWII. Oh boy, wasn’t that fun to watch.

I expected to see the survivors come and talk about their hardships at Auschwitz, and retell the story of the triumphant allied army coming to the death camps to liberate them, but I was very taken back, as this was not the case. Not only was this not the case, but also the survivors were in fact angry with the allied armies. That’s right, ANGRY! They stated that the United States and the rest of the allied army were not really concerned with the liberation of the Jews. As they went on, they began to describe the selfishness of America, only wanting to stop Hitler, and possibly free the Jews once that was completed. One even went on to tell how the Americans who liberated their camp showed no sympathy and moved at an incredibly slow rate to liberate the Jews.

Praise be to you, my adversaries at Communist News Network, for once again, undermining everything that our countries fight for and everything that keeps us free. For constantly reporting half truths and never completely reaching out to Americans and showing them the truth of what really occurs in this nation as well as the rest of the world. This was not a live news broadcast, this had taken place hours before, and CNN chose to show each of the survivors who wished to bash this nation. Not one of the survivors said anything positive about America. They should be down on their knees, thanking the States for saving them and pulling them out of that living hell. Without American, who knows how the war cold have possibly ended up.

Saying that America only cared about removing Hitler, and possibly saving the Jews in the process is a complete fallacy in itself. Fist off, Hitler himself was the one responsible for instigating these Nazi death camps and genocide of the Jews. “cut off the head, and the body will die” is the exact situation that our troops faced. In order to liberate the Jews, we had to first get rid of Hitler, which would not be an easy task. But to say that we didn’t really care is an awful slap in the face to anyone who was over seas risking their lives to save this country, as well as the world.

To think that someone could actually believe these lies is unbearable for me. Why do we put up with such idiocy in this nation and in the media? Why must everyone be against the nation that has helped everyone out on so many occasions? Why do we help countries in need, for them to only stab us in the back when they have a temporary non-use of us? These are all questions I ask myself every time I think about when I see those left wing radicals at CNN trying to turn us against our own nation, always depicting everything that occurs in the world as an anti-American event, blaming us for the downfall of others, when we have reached out our hand nearly every chance we get. Please, join me in boycotting CNN and their treasonous ways. Questions and comments are accepted. Thanks you.

Actually there is a fair amount of scholarly evidence to suggest that the Holocaust was an afterthought in the Allied struggle against the Nazi's. There was also arguments that the U.S. did not allow the entry of many Jewish immigrants who were trying to flee the Nazis before the start of the "Final Solution". If it was in Poland, unless I am mistaken that would not be American soliders liberating them but rather Russian soldiers.

You are trying to take three unrelated events and tie them together. The U.S was unaware of the severity of the holocaust until we actually started liberating the Jews. Once we realized the situation, the Americans were more than anxious to liberate anyone and everyone.

Actually we had testimony from escapees and from various reports of what was happening. An argument could be made that the death camp scenario was not known or could not be believed by the government. Still there was evidence well in advance that the Nazis were persecuting the Jews. We refused to allow many immigrants into our country from such countries, not even trying to change our quota system. Many argue that is the main reason for the U.S. steadfast support of Israel.

Boycott? What's there to boycott if you just choose not to watch it in the first place? So if CNN changes some, we can call the boycott off? I wouldn't plug into the channel for all the T in China.

Actually, after seeing the February ratings, I don't think there are enough people watching CNN to conduct a boycott.

We actually turned away Jews trying to flee to Cuba ( which was for the most part under American control at the time). The USA doesn't have an unblemished record on dealing with the Holocaust.

The tragedy of the S.S. St. Louis

There are many reasons to refuse to watch the Commie News Network. However, airing a show that admits that the Holocaust wasn't the foremost thing on the FDR's mind in regards to WW2 isn't one of them.

It would be one thing if that was what their intent was, they were simply trying to find a way to blame america for something. They were downgrading the united states for everything we stand for.

You state in your blog, "That’s right, ANGRY! They stated that the United States and the rest of the allied army were not really concerned with the liberation of the Jews. As they went on, they began to describe the selfishness of America, only wanting to stop Hitler, and possibly free the Jews once that was completed. "

What part of those sentiments is wrong? The USA wasn't terribly concerned about the Holocaust. They were more concerned about winning the war.

They knew where the concentration camps were, they knew where the creamatoria were yet FDR didn't allow our pilots to take out the train tracks leading to the camps for fear it would play into Hitler's anti-Semitic propaganda machine. They wouldn't even allow the pilots to take out the creamatorium ovens. The Jews have a right to tinge their gratitude with anger at the US because we could have done more to save Jewish lives BEFORE liberation and we didn't.

FDR and the USA could have sided with the angels by trying ot prevent Jews from ended up in these camps but we didn't.

Well, true confessions...I did watch that gal named Nancy Grace the other day talking about Michael Jackson. I was interested in hearing her after I read her bio on CourtTV's website. She's pretty sharp, and the interviewees don't realize it, I think. At least the guy she had on last night was trying to pick on her while he supported Michael Jackson. what a hoot she was; she was saying how the boy was molested by MJ, then MJ's goons wouldn't let them leave the place, then they tried to ship them to Brazil to keep it quiet, then the mom and son escaped and blah blah blah...Nancy was hysterical in her facial expressions and comments.

Monday morning quarterbacking.... The anglosaxon world came to Europe and many died and they liberated everybody in the camps Jews Gypsies Communists and all those deemed unfit by the Nazis. There is nothing anyone can say that will change that fact.
The complacency of the german people put them in the camps together with the cowardly french collaborators, dutch and italian also.
Americans,Australians British and Canadian kids died to free these people.
The Russians paid the greatest price but they and their homeland were actually under attack by the nazis.

I think I actually boycott CNN already anyway. I never watch it, never watch CNNHN, never watch any of it. It might as well not exist to me...tho according to the ratings, most people don't think it really exists anyway.
