NEOCON MAG PROMOTES ANTI-MUSLIM HATE LITERATURE
AAMERICAN MUSLIM NEWS BRIEFS | 20050315 | CAIR

Posted on 03/17/2005 6:07:24 PM PST by Nicholas Conradin

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 3/17/05) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today called on a prominent national neoconservative magazine to clarify its policy on anti-Muslim hate following revelations that the publication distributed an Internet advertisement for an virulently Islamophobic book.

CAIR's request came in response to a complaint from a member of the National Review's e-mail list who received a message promoting an apparently self-published book that, according to the magazine, is a "guide into the dark mind of [the Prophet] Mohammed."

The National Review's review of the book states: "[The author] explains why Mohammed couldn't possibly be a true prophet, and reveals the true sources of his 'revelations.'"

It quotes the author as claiming: "Mohammed posed as the apostle of God…while his life is marked by innumerable marriages; and great licentiousness, deeds of rapine, warfare, conquests, unmerciful butcheries, all the time invoking God's holy name to sanction his evil deeds."

According to the National Review, the book shows how "Mohammed again and again justified his rapine and licentiousness with new 'divine revelations.'"

"This anti-Muslim screed is the literary equivalent of 'The Protocols of the Elders of Zion' and should not be promoted by a publication that has any sense of decency," said CAIR Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. "The National Review must clarify its position on Islamophobic hate speech and offer a public apology for promoting a book that so viciously attacks the faith of one-fifth of the world's population."

Hooper said anti-Muslim rhetoric often leads to discrimination and even violence. (See news release below.)

(NOTE: In 2002, CAIR called on an Arab-American publication to apologize for publishing excerpts from "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," a 19th century anti-Semitic forgery used to justify the persecution of Jews.)

I've read 15 different definitions for the phrase, "neocon," and I still don't get the Jewish connection.

I thought that it was neo=new, and con=conservative.

The new conservative politics of promoting our democracy around the world, and the unabashed use of force against tyrants and dictators to improve and ensure our world position in the new millennium, no matter what the other Nations thought.

Where the heck did "Jew" come into that?

Note to the Islamist org, CAIR:
Stop the Taqqiah.
1. The Protocols are lies. The quotes on Mohhamed come out of the Koran and Hadith.
2. National Review is Fusionist Conservative not neoconservative.

"Hah! NR is a NEOCON mag??? Get serious."

Before the Election, our own US neo-Nazis were slamming it as just that. Along with some in identity groups they'd gathered, they said that NR was the product of a Jewish conspiracy.

CAIR's choice of words is very telling for all others who use the word, "neocon" or "neoconservative" against our American interests. I am an American and have an American identity (not European).

Oh, that's in wordy diatribes from all over the left. We already know about the antisemitic, anti-American garbage being issued from the likes of antiwar.com. Here's one tiny example of their neo-Nazi, anti-American European connection, if you can stand to read it.

"Eurolegal Services"
"US Neoconservatives"
http://www.eurolegal.org/useur/usneocon.htm
(antisemitic Euro-crap behind the link)

Tom Metzger's bunch was way left. David Duke renamed his organization to "EURO."

"Neo-conservative" is name calling against all who support Israel (the multitudes of Christians who are in favor of Israel surviving) and who disagree with neo-Nazism.

Oops--correction of my own writing:

Where I wrote, "the multitudes," it was meant to say, "including the multitudes." The "neo-con" name calling is primarily against Jews but also used against all who support their right to live and have their mandated homeland.

I've read 15 different definitions for the phrase, "neocon," and I still don't get the Jewish connection.

The designation "neoconservative" was originally given to (or IIRC adopted by) a group of people who had become disenchanted with Democrat Party liberalism, primarily in foreign policy. Specifically, in policy toward Israel.

Most of the original neoconservatives were Jewish, and "neocon" was soon used by the opposition as a antisemitic epithet.

You don't have to read the definition to see that in CAIR mind neocons and Jews are the same. It is easy to see from the note at the end of their statement. They are more or less demanding "quid pro quo".

"Hooper said anti-Muslim rhetoric often leads to discrimination and even violence. "

And they put up the website where Muslims could self-report instances of bias to prove it.
