ALL four of my kids would follow me to the end of the Earth. The trick is maintaining a relationship that will foster that same sentiment in them when they're 15 and know everything there is to know.

I'll see you all tomorrow. Be good to yourselves!

LOL.
Kids are most merciless about teasing their parents about their sudden inexplicable shrinking.

Yep. I'm afraid so. My younger sister was 10, so she doesn't even remember him.

I always hugged him when I said it, so he knew it was a good thing. After all, I could reach things in his paint shop that he needed a step-ladder for! :o]

How old are your kids? Four? God bless you!
I have a 14yr. old boy, and (had) a 19yr. old girl, until she went off to college.

I THINK he MAY have actually said "That is possibly in the works."
But dad tends to say things just like my tagline.
So I don't know.

We love GIR too.
Caitlin can do a spot-on GIR imitation.
Mimics the voice, and since she's got a great memory for lines, she says stuff.
Usually she'll wait til I'm scolding her, then she gets this daffy look on her face, slaps on her GIR persona, and then says something like :
"I got chocolate-bublle gum!"
or
"Me and the squirrel are frrriends!!!".
And then I laugh, and while I still make her do what she's supposed to do, it's less Old Testament than it might have been.

For a few years, I refused to let my children watch it, fighting my DH the whole time.
Then they made me sit down in front of the TV, and actually watch it.
Loved it ever since.

It's ACTUALLY a pretty insightful show.
i used to use it as a teaching tool with my daughter.
(she has Asperger's Syndrome, and that show is a good way to discuss social situations because it's so over-the-top and because she loves anything animated)
