In the middest of the chaos and despair, that is in the City of New Orleans, there have been people waiting for at least three days for food and water. The media has been squawking the loudest about the slowness of the food convoys. When a truckload of MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) finally arrived in to help feed the masses, that have not had any food or water; you would think that these people would be grateful.
That seems to be not the case in the eyes of some people. Yes, that is right, there are some people that have refused to have anything to do with the MREs. A case in point, a woman that was hollering the loudest about not having anything to eat, was handed an MRE and refused it. The reason? It had not been heated.
Well sister, I hope that you can live for a few more days. It is going to quite awhile before there is any way to serve up any hot meals. The only way that there might be any hot food, is if you build a campfire and cook food that way. I doubt that you would be able to find any food to cook over a campfire anyway, as the government won’t there to hand out the food to cook or to make the fire for you.
If our troops in the field in Iraq and Afghanistan can gain weight by eating MREs, surely you can subsist on these for a few days. The same troops that are subsisting on these MREs and have been for the last 2.5 years, seem to take it all in stride as a part of doing business.
What, you actually expect her to gather the wood, pile it up and strike the match? You, you, ..... uncaring right-winger!
Don't you know it more fun to focus on the few complainers versus the many who gratefully took the rations?
This woman is certainly not representative of the bulk of the people still in New Orleans, but there are, no doubt, some people there who just gripe and gripe and gripe about anything and everything people do for them.
Everyone should donate, generously, but I would never take a woman like this into my home, no matter how desperate she is.
I haven't eaten every MRE entree there is, but all the ones that I have tried are edible without heating. Anyone who turns it down on that basis just isn't hungry enough yet. Which is fine: it leaves more for the other people.
Per usual the Democrat Base in New Orleans is making things run smoothly /sarcasm.
If they're throwing the MRE's back, I'd say they've had plenty to eat, contrary to the MSM propaganda.

Even from the helo-cams I can see that more than a few of these Democratic voters could stand to lose a few pounds. Bypass these fatties and make sure every kid is fed. Any adult who eats before a child should be ashamed.

I saw a lady on O'Reilly going off over having to eat MRE's. All I could think of is that my own sons have lived off of those for weeks at a time defending while she can't live a few days off of them? America is in more trouble than we realize.
