Dear Civilians, We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation have many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military. For those of you who can't join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas we would like your assistance:
1) The next time you see an adult talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem... kick their ass.
2) When you witness firsthand someone burning the American Flag in protest... kick their ass.
3) Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these Veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these Veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a Disabled Veteran kicks their ass.

Read all 14. Well worth it. When I was in the USMC, we never called people who were in the Army "Grunts". We called them "Dogface" or just "Doggy". Grunts were our own 0311s. Funny, but later when I was in the Army, I never heard the word "Dogface" any more. ";^)

I would also like to add that referring to oneself as an "Army Brat", "Navy Brat", etc. isn't derogatory! Its an endearing term!

Re: PR firm
I don't know what you're talking about.Back during WWII and Korea the Marines got such favorable press they were accused of bringing along their own PR firm.

Thank you for the link. I will copy the text and use it in the ESL class that I teach ( kids from 16 different nations) so they might understand the manners of a patriot and the deplorable manners of those Americans who are not.
I will also explain why many patriots where very effective steel-toed boots. KA !

I take it you weren't in the Third Infantry Division. Only they are the Dog Face Soldiers, not the whole Army. And they say it with pride.

.."they say it with pride." Just like Marines call themselves Jarheads with pride.
No, I never was in the Third anything. One of the ditties we used to sing on runs went something like this:
"Birdy birdy in the sky, Dropped a little whitewash in my eye. I'm no Doggy, I won't cry. I'm just glad that cows can't fly."
And I never had a Puerto Rican agent. Didn't know I needed one.

Same here! I once had a supervisor tell me to stop referring to myself as an "Army Brat". She said that I was putting myself down when I said it. I never could get her to understand that it was a term of endearment and that I was proud to be a "Brat".

6) If you witness someone calling the U.S. Coast Guard nonmilitary, inform them of their mistake... and kick their ass.
Last summer a real cute Coastie moved in beside me. I jokingly said that the neighborhood had a lot of military and a few Coast Guard.
She bristled.
I calmed her down when I mentioned that moving from the Department of Transportation to the Department of Homeland Security almost brought them back into the fold. I still consider them more as cops than military, except when deployed in war.
