**** Go wireless. Then all you have to worry about is a dead battery. *****
Yeah maybe I will, later.
I just got a new puter and it came with a ps2 mouse and ps2 keyboard. Plus prior to that I bought a new ps2 keyboard with neat hot keys for my old pc so all my 'wired stuff' is new.
(and when I replace something the wife wants to throw the 'old stuff' in the garbage, even if it still works. she never heard of 'back up')

Is Houston the only place that has replaced "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" with "God Bless America" The New York Yankees do "God Bless America" during every home game. Not exactly a right-wing city there.

the P.A. system broke into a flag saluting bloisterous voice. . . . "Bloisterous": Would that be sort of a combination of "boisterous" and "blustery"? I don't know, and I'm very flustrated that someone would flount proper etiquette and make an unknown word such an intrical part of his sentence.

Felt like I was in some natzi camp. . . . Use a repellent spray to keep the natz away.
In your case, also try a respellent spray.
To: PJ-Comix
asked him when Wagner was scheduled. He usually comes in for the ninth inning when the Mets are ahead.
Unless they're playing the Natz, in which case it would not be a save situation.
Of course, that's long after the National Anthem.
To: PJ-Comix
Told them that the National Anthem blasting at the car dealership was nationalistic and a bit over the top and creepy. You'd think we were in a land of the free, some awful place where a private business owner can do things like that.

My brain laughs at their logic.
My heart aches for their lost state.
What a sad and depraved world they live in.

"Told them that I was not at a sporting event, funeral, union meeting, blah blah and asked him when Wagner was scheduled." The National Anthem is played at union meetings? Really?

"My husband was afraid I was going to get lynched." Now, where is that graphic of the cute little black kid saying..."That's Racist".

"I share your creep-itude." There is something benburch-like in this sentence...

I'm very flustrated that someone would flount proper etiquette and make an unknown word such an intrical part of his sentence I agree ;)

"get stuck standing and saluting in a parking lot halfway to your car...." And so we have a way to slow down the mobility of DUmmies. Wherever we find Dummies - whether one or a multitude - all we need do is play the National Anthem and they all be compelled to stop, stand and salute!
This could be real fun at the next "undocumented Americans" rally!
To: PJ-Comix
It wasn't a car wash on a military base, was it? You get treated to the tune twice a day, when the flag goes up, and when it comes down-...Uh, this DUmmie doesn't know squat. Reveille is played at flag raising, and Retreat is played at flag lowering. One can see the current list of bugle calls at United States Military Bugle Calls. Nowhere does the National Anthem appear on that list, nor do I ever recall it being a bugle call. Nor should it be. It's the Nation's Anthem, not a call used to announce events.

Wagner’s on first, Bach is on second, Handel on third, and Liszt is in the dugout because he’s listing to the right.

Of course some people would say that this makes me unpatriotic. No! How dare they! What could give them such an idea?!
