I know we are having a very cold winter, and, normally, I would not cite that fact as evidence of anything related to global warming. That would put me in the same category as the alarmists who think that a few hurricanes means the end of the world and the propagandists who are endlessly pointing out occurrences they think are signs of man-made global warming.

“The ice between Canada and southwestern Greenland has reached its highest level in 15 years.
Minus 30 degrees Celsius. That’s how cold it’s been in large parts of western Greenland where the population has been bundling up in hats and scarves. At the same time, Denmark’s Meteorological Institute states that the ice between Canada and southwest Greenland right now has reached its greatest extent in 15 years.”

So if I understand it, in cold years the ice sheets grow and then in warm years they melt, over time keeping a dynamic balance. Who would have thought that it worked this way?
Well, Teen M did wear her letter jacket over her shorts to school this morning. Of course that might not be because it’s winter but because she’s sporting a big new All State (!!!) patch today.
Global Warming? Bush’s fault~!!!
Deep freezing? Bush’s fault~!!!
Does that cover everything?
What’s very different this year up here in NY is “the high winds”. I never remember such intensity in all my years (64). And they ain’t from global warming.
We need more global warming...
I guess it’s time from all the global cooling nuts, that are now global warming zealots, to revert back to their roots so they can continue to cash in on the global hysteria market.
That's what statisticians call an "outlier". It will not be factored into the warmists' average global temperature for the year. High temperature outliers, however, will be factored in.
It’s been a trend, not an anomaly.
Global warming on Free Republic
Apparently not the global warmongers on the left.
If you look at this graph of satellite-measured temperatures,

It is highly suggestive that since President Bush took office he has managed to completely STOP Global Warming, or at least he as really slowed it down to a crawl! In fact, since 9/11, if you do the calculations, the temperature has actually been fully in a decline! The real problem came when Clintoon was in office.
(Thank you Karl Rove and your weather machine!)
Might I take this opportunity to nominate:
The Gore-Hansen Minimum
(you know, just in case)

No, it doesn't. But that’s OK, as McCain will take care of it. He has called for strict mandatory limits to control greenhouse gases.

Next they'll be finding out it's warmer in the day and cooler at night.
So here in my neck of Alaska it's been above freezing since Sunday. Got to 42 today. But I don't confuse a couple of days of "weather" with "climate" like the many of the global warming nuts.
Or “Glowball Warming” .^
