This is not a bad news post. Recall that two years ago I asked for prayers for my wife who had recently been diagnosed with brain cancer. (I won't repeat all I wrote in my original post or in the updates at posts 103, 131 and 164 which some of you asked for.)
Thank you for those prayers.
The good news is that two years later my wife is still alive and after her last MRI the doctors said that she was stable as far as the cancer was concerned. No one she and I have personally known who had brain cancer has lasted that long.
She had Chemo several days a month for 18 months and an MRI every other month. The MRIs have shown no new cancer so far and a very gradual decrease in the size of the remaining (non-cancerous) tumor which the surgeon couldn't remove. Of course there is no guarantee that will continue and we continue to pray.
Unfortunately she does not have good use of her right arm and leg, plus she experienced a lot of pain and it took a while to get her medication adjusted to relieve that. Even so, the pain is not completely gone and the medication, along with everything else including the secondary things that accompany a primary illness, has left her weakened. All that leaves her pretty much confined to the bed or the wheelchair and she needs my help to transfer from one to the other.
Even so, things aren't as bad as we feared at this time two years ago or even last year.
We are both grateful to God and as well as praying for recovery, offer thanks that she is doing as well as she is.
And I ask that in addition to any prayers for my wife's recovery, you remember to say a prayer of thanks once in a while—not just for my wife or me, but for yourselves to. (I write that because after talking to people over the last little while, I'm left with the impression some folks forget to be thankful as often as perhaps they should.)
I've hesitated to post something before this because I was afraid of being premature with good news, but surviving two years is good enough in itself that it stands alone.
My wife is scheduled for another MRI later this month and we pray the result will be as good as the others, but while we count our blessings, we try to keep in mind that His plans may be different than ours.

Continued prayers and thanks for you and your wife.
Prayers for healing, peace and courage.
Thanks for the progress and hope.
May you and your wife be encouraged, Kris, with the Healing Confession, written and daily prayed by a husband for his beloved wife, Patsy, unto the time of her return to the fullness of health. May you, too, rejoice in Divine Healing.
HEALING CONFESSION
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Living Word. You said that Your Word is Life to those who find it and medicine to all their flesh. Today, by my confession, I apply Your Word to our body by giving voice to it. You said in Psalm 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that Your works are marvelous. I declare that You made us and we are a marvelous creation.
I speak to sickness and disease today and proclaim that according to Philippians 2:10 that they must bow down to the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every name in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth bows its knee to Jesus name.
I speak to our body today and declare that we have authority over it. I command it to receive the Word of God. Matthew 8:17 proclaims that Jesus bore our sickness and took our infirmities. Heavenly Father, I thank You that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us and makes alive our mortal body.
I speak to our immune system and command it to line up with the Word of God. Our immune system will destroy sickness and disease in our body and perform its job, for this is what You created it to do. I thank You, Father, that every cell in our body responds to Your Word. Your Word permeates our body from the top of our head to the bottom of our feet. I confess that the Word of God is being made flesh in us. Psalm 103:3 declares that You, Father, forgave all our iniquities and healed all our diseases. Father, that is Your confession and I make it my confession also. We dont judge by the sight of our eyes; we judge by Your Living Word. It is Your Word that lives in us and brings health and healing to every part of our body.
Heavenly Father, I rejoice at Your promise of divine health. You said it and I believe it. Today I declare that we will see Your Promise of healing manifest in our body. Healing is ours because Jesus paid the price two thousand years ago. God so loved us that He sent His Son to die on the cross so that we could experience life on Gods terms. His abundant life is manifesting in us. Make us whole ~ body, soul, and spirit. Amen

Continued prayers for your wife

Dear man...may our Lord continue to show Himself to you and your precious wife! Thank you for the update.
Father Your ways are higher than our ways and we yield to Your will.
And You have given a measure of healing to this dear lady, and we give You thanks.
Be pleased to refresh her body with complete health, we ask You in Jesus Name!
All honor and praise to You Oh! Lord!
Wonderful news... continued humble Prayer.
What wonderful news about your wife. We are so happy for her and for you. Maybe in time she will be more able to move on her own. As you said...sometimes God’s plan is not always the same as ours. So..we Trust in the Lord.
In the meantime you are right saying we should give thanks for our good health because we never know what it will be like if it is taken from us. So, today we will make a special effort to do just that. We try and pray and be thankful and we are but maybe we need to do it more.
God bless you all and we think it is amazing that two years has passed and your have your wife with you still. Maybe THAT was in God’s plan. Good luck and prayers be with you.
Every day of life is good news.
Wow! Thank you so much for the update. Glad to hear your wife is still with us. I will continue to pray for you and her and hope she stays in good health.
Thank you so much for the update. I know how it is to live from MRI to MRI, and pray that the results continue to be positive, and that the discomforts become fewer.
Thank you for the update and continued prayers.
that is wonderful news!
Thank you for the update, 2 years is a blessing and I am so happy for both of you.
It is true, God does have paths that we find difficult to follow.
You shall both be in my prayers, with many for the new tests, to show more healing.
