I’ve been having a running dispute over this issue for 2 weeks with a colleague at work and 2 days ago he showed me a picture from factcheck.org with someone holding a birth certificate with the stamp and Obama’s name and the proper signature. The only thing I spotted that was suspicious was that it was a copy with an issue date of 2007. Does anyone have any background on this particular document?
What I want to know is why the press hasn't simply looked up the hospital and attending doctor and put this to rest. Is it because they can't? Are you telling me one newspaper can't check into the records and find out when he was born and where?
All it would take is the following: “Barak Obama was born in St. Francis Hospital at 10:25 local time. Dr. Smith was the attending physician.”
Why don't you see that?

That is a straight - out LIE. As anyone who has looked into what they director said, she NEVER said he was born in Honolulu - or Hawaii for that matter. Typical "Fact" check. They take a statement, slant it by putting their own interpretation on it, and make people think that is what was actually said. Just like with the COLB. First referring to it correctly as a Certification. Then later on, subtly changing it to Certificate and then referring to it as "the original" birth certificate. Factcheck has about as much credibility with checking the facts as the elephant that was guarding the peanut jar does when peanuts disappear and he claims he didn't know where they went.

There have been so many threads on this issue on Free Republic (before and after the election), all you’ve gotta do is read them. They’ll get you up to speed...
Besides, that is allegedly a Certification of Live Birth, not the long form birth certificate, which would show parentage and place of birth. In '61 you could get one of these from Hawaii without having actually been born there.
What DUH1 needs to provide, plain and simply, is no more nor less than my grandkids had to show to get into kindergarden.
For under $20, if he is a Natural Born Citizen of the United States of America, he gets to be POTUS, with no more questioning of his Constitutional qualifications to be there.
Instead he has spent over a million bucks to fight releasing the documents.
First off, the photo you were shown is not of a birth certificate, but a certificate of live birth, two different animals. But a more important point I'd like to make, have yet to have refuted, did you ask your colleague why factcheck posts a photo of a COLB that is wholly different from the one 0bama put on his own website? Why does that one have no folds, no stamp/embossing?? Why will no one from factcheck or 0bama's minions explain the discrepancy??
