There are few antiJews in the world such as Zbigniew Brzezinski who can speak from one side of their mouth, stating the obvious that Hamas "provoked" Israel into the current offensive and has "harassed" Israel with rockets and then almost immediately thereafter do a logical flip - toss in the proportional force argument along with a moral equivalence claim. ZB thinks that because Israel has done significant damage to Hamas "does that mean punishment has to be on that scale? 400 killed 1,400 wounded? (Scarborough asks: What would you recommend) I would recommend a process by which you limit such casualties and limit them very significantly." Hmmm. How about an Order of Magnitude Evaluation (OME)? If you consider that the entire Muslim world, all 1.3 billion of them, hate and want to destroy Israel, and assume that the 5.5 million Jewish Israelis are their target, the Israelis have to kill or wound the bad guys at a rate of about 225 to 1 just to keep pace. Counting only the 540+ dead victims of suicide bombers since 2000, the Israelis would have had to kill over 120,000 Palestinians/Syrians/Lebanese/Iranians/etc. in the same period. If you also consider the 8400 or so wounded and maimed, the Israelis would need to have wounded or maimed 1.89 million 'enemy' (including 1.3 million civilians). I am pretty sure that the Israelis are currently losing from that viewpoint.

Zbigniew Brzezinski is the guy who thought the Ayatollah Khomeini would be a great ally. He is the reason we back-stabbed the Shah and he’s the reason we face Ahmadinejad today. He is the genius that turned Iran from being our closest ally in the middle east to being our greatest enemy.

He was raised in a diplomatic family and is very much a United Nations backer. He is perhaps the meanest man I've ever met, and like many in power, treats those below him as serfs. His biggest weakness, IMO, is that he thinks he smarter than he is, which is very common among the intelligentsia. As a lowly enlisted man, I was a piece of furniture, but I've seen him berate and badger men in high positions (Undersecretary's, SES, Generals, etc)
