The US Navy, despite our dithering government, has shown the world how its done, just like the brave crew of the Maersk Alabama showed the world how brave men stand up against criminal cockroaches.
(CNN) -- The American cargo ship captain held hostage by pirates jumped overboard Sunday from the lifeboat where he was being held, and U.S. Navy SEALs shot and killed three of his four captors, according to a senior U.S. official with knowledge of the situation. Our president, after five days of mulling and pondering, finally unleashed the power of the US Navy, then had this to say:
Obama praised the captain for his bravery and courage. The president also said the United States needs help from other countries to deal with the threat of piracy and to hold pirates accountable. No we don't. We don't need "the world's" help, unless it is to cry and apologize when we blow these sub-human predators to hell where we belong. No, all we nee need is to unleash the awesome might of the US military and the rest will fall into place. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D97H45GO1&show_article=1 http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/africa/04/12/somalia.pirates/index.html
Great news! Headshots all around!
now which is it, did he or did he not jump from the raft?
Woo-Hoo!
Tha Navy Seals were right there ready and willing to do their duty, but the Captain has balls of steel too, to attempt to get away twice and I am sure he was threatened after the first time.
This played out well, but a lot of luck was involvd it seems.
We will probably never know if Obama was ready to pay the ransom to the tard who went to the Bainbridge. Now we have him, lets see what Obama will do with him and who will volunteer to be his lawyer.
...if the Lord is "on our side" we might not need Navy Seals, although He may have well used or helped them in this situation. Whichever it is, I am grateful to the Navy personnel involved, all up and down the line. On scene, or in support roles, and those who made the accurate shots, hitting their targets. I cannot speak for others, but offer thanks too, to God, and all who prayed also.
But with one tard on the Bainbridge, that was one less pirate to harm the Captain.
I propose a new American Anthem, perhaps it can be sung at baseball games during the 7th inning stretch:
(To the tune of We are the World)
“Don’t need the world,
We have the SEALS,
These are the ones to take the head shots and save the Captain..”
Lighten up, man. I am a Christian who gives thanks to God for all things. The title is just a headline... This is a great day for the USA!
The Lord works through human being, you know...
I’m extremely disappointed in the performance of our SEAL team.
They left one of the perps alive.
I heard on CNN (I think) that the captured pirate was a 16 year old kid.
Besides, I gave acknowledgment that the Lord might have lent a hand in the proceedings. So you can lighten up, as you put it, yourself.
The pirate who is alive was on board the US Navy ship before the incident occurred. He was “negotiating” on behalf of the others...and turned out to be a 16 year old kid who didn’t want to go back. It sounds like he might have given some info to the Navy to help them in the operation.
The White House confessed to not giving the Navy approval to use force until Saturday morning!
At least the military is still on our side. I doubt there are very many happy people in the Whitey House right about now. The Obuma Code Pink advisers must be wearing black....
Gunfree zones on the high seas don’t work. We need change.
Well, let’s get him to NYC and put him in the public school system there, where he can read such literary texts as “Heather has two Mommies”, take a sensitivity class to understand that homosexuals are lovely people too. In fact, perhaps we can get a same sex couple to be his foster parents. This would all help him love people a little more and stop all the piracy. Maybe we could also have him watch the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, in case he needs a role model.
Yeah, whatever. You're preaching to the choir
