Limbaugh: Palin Might Leave GOP For Third Party
Right Side News ^ | 7/15/09 | the DailyBell.com

There's growing speculation from former aids, political journalists, and even Rush Limbaugh himself that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is considering forming a third party alternative for conservatives. Palin, the former GOP vice presidential nominee who stunned the political world by resigning as governor two weeks ago with 18 months left in her term, also posted a link to a column speculating about such a move on her Facebook page. Two articles, one from conservative writer Tammy Bruce, the other from The Washington Times, suggest she may be considering leaving the Republican Party to form a third party alternative.

Radio show host Rush Limbaugh said Palin may leave the GOP and form her own because Republicans have "been just as mean-spirited to her as the Democrats" have. "When I watched her speech when she announced she was going to leave the governorship of Alaska, I didn't hear the word Republican mentioned once," Limbaugh said. - NewsMax

Talk about making a mountain out of an ant hill. The MSM is driving this crap and many Republican opportunists are jumping in.

...third party movements don’t win...starting with Teddy Roosevelt who had a lot more juice than Palin has now.

Highly doubt it. But, if the established elite GOP keep up their attacks, if I were Sarah, I’d put them in my sight as well. It wouldn’t be too hard to lump the left and the elite GOPers in the same wagon.

If one wanted to clean up Washington one could not do it as a Republican or as a Democrats. Sadly both parties are owned by Wall Street.

The rats would love for her to form a 3rd party instead of taking the GOP away from the Rino’s.

Here we go again, if she does and there is no run off between the two top parties in the election, its futile. The Dems will never go for a run off, you can bet on it. See 1992 election results.

“This is nuts!!! You must stay loyal to the GOP no mater how liberal they get!!!If she forms a third party Republicans could lose control of the house and senate, democrats could appoint liberals to the supreme court and ...ummm..

(crap, that scare tactic doesn’t seem to work anymore to keep conservatives in line)”

If she introduces a third party into local races around the country, I think a third party movement stands a chance at state and ultimately national races down the road.

I would suggest that you wait another year before you run to the bank with that statement! Give O'whatshisname another 8 months of socialism with the pubbies standing in the cloak room, and a third party will replace the republican party......

Yes, it appears to be the end. Great. Maybe I’ll die fighting for what I believe in. There are worse ways to go.

Look, I supported Palin just as much as everyone else here during the campaign, but I’m really confused as how the past few weeks are going to work out in her favor. If she wanted to join a third party, she should have done so while she was still governor—which that way it would have given the party some actual recognition and power.

She hasn’t said a thing about a third party.

I think Limbaugh is just trying to stir the RINO’s up.

Whatever works.

It will probably take longer, but it that is how the RNC wants to play it, so be it. They will wake up one day to discover they have lost their base to a new conservative movement if they continue to let idiots and RINOs call the shots.
