If you have Geico, please switch policies before you have to file a claim. If you’ve even considered checking Geico out, please move on to another company to get a rate quote.

There's a website called badbusinessbureau.com that has numerous complaints on it about these insurance companies that scam people and ruin their chances to get insurance elsewhere.

Anyone else here old enough to remember that GEICO was originally the Government Employees’ Insurance Company?

I learned that when in my early 20s, while working with WW II veterans. GEICO offered special rates to the vets and grew from there to expand coverage to everyone.

Yes he owns a controlling interest. He owns a slew of well known companies, all with controlling interest.

Search ‘Berkshire-Hathaway’ and you can see the list of companies owned. Geico is on it.

Buffett owns/controls Berkshire-Hathaway.

When did Berkshire sell their stake in Dairy Queen?

There was an ABC or Nightline piece a few years ago with Buffet conducted in a Dairy Queen and he was touting the goodness of the product and the brand. I couldn’t find their ownership stake on the link.

I am not sure. Buffett may own Dairy Queen through another holding company. Or it may have been sold.

I think Dairy Queen is a poor quality fast food outlet. I believe Buffett’s managers would not allow for Dairy Queen to be run so poorly. So I think you may be right that they have been sold.

I saw a blurb on a site run by Luis Farakhan a couple of days ago that they went after his advertisers and were bragging that three majors (Progressive, Lexus-Nexus, etc.) had dropped his show due to their complaints... they are not dropping him because his show is unpopular, quite the opposite because he is getting too close to their plans for this country and people are paying attention. Either we stand up and support him or when Dan Rather gets his way, and the government does control our media, people who did not stand while they still could will have no more recourse to complain as all the people we warned and still voted for Obama.

Farrakhan and they said 600,000 members were inundating the sponsors.

THIS SUCKS!

Beck hasn’t done anything wrong.

That they’d put him in a smear campaign really chaffs!

Re: “I had read, earlier, that he lost ‘Progressive’ (no big surprise, there) and Proctor&Gamble......but they weren’t removing their entire ads from FOX....just HIS shows. Could be wrong.”

*************

I just saw the stupid Progressive ad tonight on Beck’s show!

P&G sold Coast soap to Dial, which was bought by Henkel, a German company.

The only other product I use on that list is Pepto Bismal, and only because I get it free. LOL

Becks scores are pretty good considering that he just came on board Fox News. I think he might eventually surpass O’Reilly. I sure hope so! He’s very borish against conservatives sometimes!
