Here is video of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs yesterday saying "We're not starting over," referring to the Health Care Bill and what President Obama may present in his speech tonight to a Joint Session of Congress. Some have advocated that Obama just start from scratch in developing a bill, but Gibbs says that is not their plan. . . .(VIDEO)

He better start over. There a stiff, cool, and refreshing breeze blowing down from the North...and he'd best get in out of the cold.

SARAH PALIN ON HEALTH CARE - GO SARAH GO!

"President Obama argues that Democrats' "will provide every American with some basic consumer protections that will finally hold insurance companies accountable." Of course consumer protection sounds like a good idea. And it's true that insurance companies can be unaccountable and unresponsive institutions—much like the federal government. That similarity makes this shift in focus seem like nothing more than an attempt to deflect attention away from the details of the Democrats' proposals—proposals that will increase our deficit, decrease our paychecks, and increase the power of unaccountable government technocrats.

"Instead, let's talk about real health-care reform: market-oriented, patient-centered, and result-driven. As the Cato Institute's Michael Cannon and others have argued, such policies include giving all individuals the same tax benefits received by those who get coverage through their employers; providing Medicare recipients with vouchers that allow them to purchase their own coverage; reforming tort laws to potentially save billions each year in wasteful spending; and changing costly state regulations to allow people to buy insurance across state lines. Rather than another top-down government plan, let's give Americans control over their own health care.

"We often hear such overblown promises from Washington. With the facts in hand, tell them that this time we're not buying it."
Sarah Palin - September 8, 2009

Sarah still has the left, the DNC, the MSM and the RINOs all in a frenzy wondering what her next move will be and how it will be perceived...they almost literally froth at the mouth in their efforts to discredit her.

WHile they do this, and further discredit only themselves in the effort, Sarah is going to write her book, give speeches and promote conservatie principles all over this country in the midst of the Obama administration disaster and gain great political capital in the process.

Then she will support conservative candidates in 2010 and help them win, amassing much more political capital. She will then take all of that capital and make an awesome, stunning, and successful run for the Presidency in 2012.

MANY MORE STICKER DESIGNS HERE

"...like that grizzly guards her cubs, as a mother naturally guards her own. I will keep that vow wherever the road may lead." - Sarah Palin, July 26, 2009

SARAH PALIN STANDING IN THE BREACH

A steadfast, growing, purposeful, committed opposition to the destruction Obama and those who support him are causing has formed. Against him and the assinine foolishness associated with trying to transform this nation into a marxist construct, something that has proven to be so abjectly disasterous and failing everytime it has been tried in history. The Health Care issue has turned over this ant hill, and now it is being reflected in all of the polls.

Obama, the DNC, the far left and the MSM all fear this rising opposition and are finding they are incapable of controlling it or its spread. That is why they are desperately trying to demonize and categorizing traditional Americans. But the slumbering giant has stirred, and he is waking up hopping mad.

That is the play from the playbook they will use.

The administration will argue that the town hall meetings are over and with them the debate has been had. The administration will say that there is no reason to continue discussing something to death. Time to vote

Technically, nothing has changed from their perspective. They have the votes today. Issue decided. The only thing that can change is that they loose the votes.

There are 23 democrats that are against the legislation. Need 15 more to move.

Who are those 15? We need to have visits to their offices in DC since they decided not to either have town hall meeting or did not listen (answering their phones).

The Democrats like the boycott, well here is one for you. Look at who contributes to the democrats that vote for the bill and boycott any business owner that the donated to that Rep.

Just a thought

In another thread we read that the GOP has rejected the "trigger" option of Olympia Snowe. And in this thread we read a Blue Dog Dem is backing off his support of the Public option.

Should Obama push for government run healthcare after America has spoken against it, it's the best outcome I could imagine. Far better than had he feverishly worked together some hodge-podge plan to "satisfy" the dissenters. That could have cooled down the anti-Democrat rhetoric. With Sarah's article, Obama being intransigent, and our assembly in DC following on his heels, we retain momentum. This is a good thing.

Using the words of Obama, “If you put lipstick on a Pig, its still a Pig.”

And that is exactly what we will see him do tonight.

Nice take, FReeper vg0va3.

Technically, nothing has changed from their perspective. The administration will argue that the town halls are over, and so are the debates.....there is no reason to continue discussing something to death. Time to vote. They have the votes. Issue decided. The only thing that can change is that they lose the votes.

CAUTION This man Obama----like all sociopaths---- lives in the moment----doing and saying anything necessary to cover his ***. EVERYTHING he says has an expiration date.

Tonight, Obama will sound very VERY conservative....Ronald Reagan incarnate....he might even invoke the "shining city on the hill," and other Reaganisms. Conman Obama will tailor his words with one objective----to fool irate "no-sale" townhallers.

Obama knows he MUST obscure his radical agenda now that he was caught flat-footed with Communist Van Jones in his employ.

Taxing and Spending Clause – Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution is sometimes referred to as the "The Taxing and Spending Clause". It's intent is to grant Congress the power to impose taxes for paying for three general areas:

(1) pay off the Debt incurred during the war for independence, (2) provide for national Defense, and (3) provide for the general Welfare. The first paragraph reads as follows: (first paragraph) The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

It is difficult to understand how our national leaders can pass many of the laws they do given they have no authority to do so. It is also difficult to understand how everything seems to have been turned upside down -- what use to mean one thing now means the opposite. Well, here are the facts regarding the intent of the Constitution and how politicians attempt to convince us they are operating within its confines.

SOURCE "Texans Against Government Controlled Health Care"

Facts about the 10th Amendment:

The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791.

The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitution’s principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states or the people.

UPDATE---TEXAS BILL HCR 50 HAS PASSED THE HOUSE 99-36.

(a) Affirms that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution;

(b) Serves notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates, and providing that certain federal legislation be prohibited or repealed.

Regardless of how confidently Pelosi and her orcish MSM minions push the lie, I seriously doubt that she does, in fact, "have the votes" -- not for any plan with a public option as an integral part of same, at any rate.

She also claimed, remember, to "have all the votes I need to pass it right now" a full month ago, before all the town hall meetings. For some weird, inexplicable reason (HAH!), it didn't happen then, either. ;)

Why is still my question about Health Care. We need to find a way to adjust the system, but remember the insurance companies are a public corporation and as such need to be responsible to the shareholders, not the government. Governement health care is an oxymoron like military intelligence. Once you put the government in charge of anything the process goes into everywhich way but loose.

This is what Obama is going to say tonight:

It was just reported on the 11am news that Obama believes that the "PUBLIC OPTION" i.e., GOVERNMENT RUN, SINGLE- PAYER DEATH CARE MUST BE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF HIS DEATH CARE BILL and Obama said the "THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS SUPPORT THE PUBLIC OPTION"!

This is what Obama is going to press home and try to force down our throats tonight during the prime-time arm twisting speech! Obama is DELUSIONAL!

That is almost as many czars as he has on our payroll. Wonder who penned this string of words? I am guessing Axelrod is back from vacation. BamaKennedy could have 'insured' all the so called 'uninsured' with all the play money he has passed around to his cast of czars.
