The Obama trip to Japan will be recalled for him committing an act of near “dogeza” (subservient prostration) in front of the Emperor.

####

99.99% of state-side Americans will never see this photo or hear that Obama did it.

Politicians and national leaders all over the world will see it and acknowledge it as one more blatant example that the 0 is an idiot.

It would be one thing if he behaved in a similar manner in the U. S., humbling himself before other Americans. But here he behaves with arrogance and dominance, which makes it obvious to all that when he bows to foreign leaders he is a phony.

Perhaps the end result here will be that Japan realizes it must now go it alone for a while, and beef up their military. Some say that is inevitable, and perhaps to the Japanese, Obama is a signal that they now have no alternative.

@@@@@

European leaders have also come to the same conclusion. Looking for anything positive, I think that if these other countries decide to spend more on their own military forces, it will help the USA not to have to be “policeman to the world.” Sixty years after WWII, twenty years after the decline of the Soviet Empire, is plenty of time for these countries to reach their own adult status, and not to rely on us for their defense.

Thanks for your post about the Japanese ‘lurkers’ and their comments. What a tiny world the internet has made.

TO THE JAPANESE BLOGGERS:

We know that you’re following our conversations here on Free Republic.

We also know that our “president” is a foolish clown, similar to a dancing monkey.

We didn’t vote for him, and we hope he gets his old job back. According to his book, he used to scoop ice cream at Baskin Robbins, wearing a paper hat. Look it up.

His other big job was helping a bunch of race hustlers (ACORN) scare banks into making bad loans. This sank the world economy, including Japan.

His real name is Barry Soetoro. “Barack Obama” is a fake name that our president chose by combining names from a phone book. We don’t know where he was born, because he won’t show us the paperwork.

He is a Moslem. This week he decided to help our terrorist enemies. Again. We don’t like him.

Obama is like the “comic relief” in your Samurai movies. He is the drunk and stupid Samurai who almost gets the normal Samurai killed. But at the last moment, he keeps getting saved by random luck.

At that point, we laugh at his stupidity. What else can we do.

Thanks for the photos. The idea that someone/you could make a youtube slideshow of all these dignitaries meeting the Emperor, in contrast with the Obama Bow, made me chuckle - and that is a rare thing these days.

From a British paper:

“Beneath the signature charm and rhetoric, President Barack Obama’s message was clear: the US fully intends to deepen dialogue with China and pursue greater cooperation with countries across Asia...

...Calling himself “America’s first Pacific President” during a 40-minute address, Mr Obama said: “I want every American to know that we have a stake in the future of this region, because what happens here has a direct effect on our lives at home.”

I’ve only visited Japan, but I would guess most Japanese would see this as patronizing them while dishonoring one’s own country and previous leaders.

If nothing else, GHW Bush spent 14 months as the unofficial ambassador to China - and THIS buffoon thinks HE is “America’s first Pacific President”????? Doesn’t he know the Japanese, Koreans and Chinese KNOW better? I cannot believe showing contempt for previous Presidents will win him friends or respect in ANY of those countries!

I have been retired now for almost ten years. But I can say without reservation that no matter how much "clientitis" may exist at our embassy in Tokyo, no one would suggest what Obama did, i.e., prostrate themselves before a foreign leader. This is cultural sensitivity run amok.

My read is that Obama fancies himself as being a citizen of the world and he likes to cite his experience of living abroad and having relatives scattered around the globe from Indonesia to China to Kenya. He is an "internationalist" who thinks he knows how to behave abroad and to curry favor. Hence his constant apologies for the US because he believes that is what his foreign audiences want to hear. And it doesn't hurt that he believes that the US should apologize.

The reality is that he knows very little about how to behave abroad and diplomatic protocol. He is a head of state. The main problem is that he hates the country he represents. Obama is bent on recreating it in his image.

This idiot just can't help himself, bowing down to every leader in the world and apologizing for every war fought and won in our past. And all the while, he refuses to give our soldiers and military leaders the men and materiel they need to kick the living crap out of the jihadis in Afghanistan.

A walking, talking, worthless piece of donkey-crap, is what he is.

And that's about the nicest thing I can say about the communist SOB.

Love and totally agree with your tagline.

He is such a narcissist that he believes that anything outside of his skin is immaterial or non-existent.
