Sarah Palin: Stand Up for SEALs Standing Up for Us
FaceBook ^ | March 05, 2010 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 03/05/2010 4:05:59 PM PST by Clyde5445

First the Obama Administration opened up the possibility of prosecuting CIA interrogators doing their jobs seeking information from terrorists. Then they tried to go after the Bush Administration lawyers who acted in good faith to protect us in the months after 9/11. Now some of the military brass are court-martialing three brave Navy SEALs for allegedly throwing a single punch at Iraqi terrorist leader Ahmed Hashim Abed. This is wrong. The Washington Times got it right: Save the SEALs.

These brave warriors belong in combat, not in the courthouse. They captured the most wanted terrorist in Iraq. We may never know how many other heroic missions they undertook on behalf of our country. The charges should be dropped, and they should be returned to their unit – with our gratitude for their service.

Stand up for the SEALs who are standing up for us!

...I’m hoping this SEAL story will get legs and hurt Obama...public outrage can start with something small and build...if only Lee Atwater were alive, he wouldn’t be afraid to flog Obama with this story in November.

Before you can bring a country to its knees, you must make its Military forces impotent.

AMEN Sarah.

Seals should operate within the laws of the United States. If those laws do not allow them to adequately protect our country, change the laws.

When we were trying to remove Clinton from office, the talk was the "rule of law". That remains true.

Good God.

She is the only one with enough guts to stick up for these men. This makes me sick. Where are the rest of our leaders who should be STANDING up for these men who protect us?

And there are people who say she hasn’t got what it takes to be President.

She knows right from wrong, and isn’t afraid to say so. That makes her Presidential in my book.

If people say I am a shallow red-meat conservative-and this is what it means-then so be it. I am sick of this crap.

Perhaps it is because these guys lied to their chain of command and made false official statements. This isn’t all about punching a muzzie.

I don't want to quibble, but UCMJ is the rules/law of United States Military. This is what these SEALs are being prosecuted under.

Don't like it, change the rules/law. Don't break them, change them.

Thats bullcrap, and you know they lied, how? Muslims are trained to specifically allege abuse, because they have learned that gullible americans far from thr fighting will get a CSI complex and try to “solve the crime”.

Im sure the Muslim just cheerfully and cooperatively came along. Grabbing someone, and forcing them to come with you, possiblty to face death isn’t as smooth as some seem to think.

Sounds like you are probably in a nice safe place,, and will never need to wrestle a frightened human into submission. You’re very fortunate.

Yesterday in San Diego Navy Adm. Michael G. Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, addressed Navy SEAL candidates yesterday after watching them train on the beach at Coronado in San Diego

Why are you afraid to change the laws? Do you live in a nice safe place, unwilling to support our troops?

Well, DesertRhino, I read their charges. If you put down your cinema-style hyperbolie and glass of kool-aid for a moment, you might actually see that this is not all about some guy getting punched. Palin, and other political opportunists, is/are off base on this one.

Because no law change is needed. The problem here is not the law, it is that politically correct, politically driven “leaders” are earnestly listening to any enemy who alleges any crime. They place the presumption of wrongdoing improperly on our men, not on a proven murderous butcher.
And they do it to placate naive people who sit around whining that soldiers should act like gentlemen, and that brutality should fit into legal niceties.

By your standard, half the USMC and US paratroopers in WWII should be prosecuted.

You are wrong. This was not a “political” prosecution by the military, at all. It was made political by the SEALS and their legal reps to save their hides.

Yep, Burton gets very little attention for being there all along. People like him rarely do.
