You're link says nothing about Amnesty so you lie!

First of all I said nothing about amnesty.

Second, McCain has been pushing for amnesty for the last ten years. Unless you have proof to the contrary then you are ignorant of the truth. And, since Palin has not specifically come out and said she's against amnesty (In fact the only statement I have ever seen from her in this regard is that she is "for a humane way of dealing" with the illegals read: amnesty) we can still assume she is for it.

As for your admonishment that I "get my facts straight" I have. I KNOW what McCain stands for - by her sitting next to him nodding his head that tells me she is for it too.

A thread here went largely ignored, which led me to believe that most posters would rather have "the issue than the pesky facts."

The article was from THE HILL and here is the moeny quote:

Immigration reform legislation is "dead" in the Senate this year, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Thursday.

You aligned yourself with this persons statement on your post as follows:

....”Sarah Palin supports AMNESTY, the number one problem facing our country. She also support John McAmnesty. Enough said”......

Then you commented:

....”They completely avoided the question about immigration. Same old garbage rhetoric.”.....

So if Sarah can be accused for those she associates herself with, then your association with this poster on your post does likewise. And the topic was Amnesty.

Anyone else notice how subdued and sedated Cindy McCain seems? Sarah Palin has been unleashed. Sarah still overshadows old John.

Thanks Onyx...I didn't see this article nor hear about it. So immigration won't be addressed which also means amnesty will be off the table until next year....or so they are saying. But is BO in agreement as well? The guy can alter his opinions and statements on a dime.

If this is so then likely cap and trade will be up next...But maybe the democrats are hesitant to do any more big issues as the fallout of this latest bill is like a tsunami hitting the nation. Bringing in another biggie would be like a hurricane on top.

Hell no, BHO is *not* in agreement, but without Lindsey on board, the Republicans have a good chance of holding 41 together to block democrat attemtps to ram through amnesty.

I don't trust them after all the theatrics we just saw played out on this last bill....they are sneaky and slimy snakes in the grass. Plus the facts aren't getting out quick enough...rather when they are they're cloaked with so much goobly goop or misleading headlines the important truths and facts get lost. Therefore I am going to be on the lookout for immigration and amnesty issues just the same. Our gov. is so frig**in deceptive!!!!!

She did nothing of the sort! JD wasn't even in the race before Sarah threw her support behind McCain.

It was a given that JD was going to run. He had until a certain date to clear up debts from his defeat to Harry Michel (redistricting). The political savvy in AZ and others knew this. McCain took advantage of this and even started running ads against JD. before he could announce. Palin should have AT LEAST contacted JD Hayworth before jumping off a cliff.

Sarah Palin has said ever since the 2008 campaign where she was in the number TWO slot - “What don’t you understand about illegal, send them back”

Do your homework asshole.

You fix the immigration problem after you have won reelection. This is a very delicate situation in Arizona. Since the 2000 census, the non-Hispanic white population of Phoenix has dropped below 50 percent with Hispanics now accounting for 49 percent of Phoenix residents and growing by 2% per year. With immigration still on the table, DemonRAT organizers of Hispanic groups are sure to pull out all the stops when it comes to registering their constituents and their obvious emphasis will be toward the Democratic Party and Independents. Arizona Hispanics will continue to support the Democrats as long as the immigration issue is still undecided.

The youth vote is likely to remain for the Democrats and Independents. Over 44 percent of Phoenix’s population is age 18 to 44, and based on earlier figures, at least 28 percent of those registered to vote already lean Independent. Depending on the success of the Obama Regime, this group could lean more heavily toward a liberal philosophy and the DemonRATs.

McCain has his work cut out for him if he wins the primary. And, if Hayworth wins, you can forget Arizona having a Republican senator. Hayworth has killed his chances with his rhetoric about immigration. At least McCain is careful not to antagonize the Hispanic vote.

As for the youth vote, McCain's daughter, as much as conservatives like me detest her, may be a blessing in disguise.

No one wants to stir the immigration pot before the election. And if you do in Arizona, you will have killed your chances to get elected. To insist that this issue be dealt with in an insensitive way is not how you win elections.

The Mexicans are people too. They are coming to America because Mexico is becoming destabilized by the drug cartel. You should know who these forces are. You can begin with Chevez and all the country leaders who let drugs run through their country. And these drugs go throughout our society right up to the White House. The worst thing the Republican Party can do is to lose the trust of the Mexicans. And because of the upheaval in Mexico, the best thing we can do is to gain their trust.

Do you have any ideas on how we can gain their trust?

Your snide rhetoric about Mexicans is just what got us Obama in 2008. You have no concept about what the Mexican people are dealing with in their country. These people are human beings and we need to win their trust. When did we stop being willing, as Christian neighbors, to reach out to them in their time of need?

You need to spread that type of talk with your friends the DemonRATs. It will guarantee that they will lose every election; including dog catcher.

Well, as we say in sailboat racing, "Local knowledge is everything."

But let me ask you. How is McCain then going to back off his shameless pandering to Mexico and the illegal Mexicans when the planned Amnesty Bill hits the Senate floor?

He has been selling open borders and amnesty for illegals for 10 years. When he is front of a Republican audience and needs the votes, he talks strong borders. The rest of the time, he's carrying Mexican water.

Hayworth has killed his chances with his rhetoric about immigration. At least McCain is careful not to antagonize the Hispanic vote.

Jon, your take on the demographics is accurate. But it is true in every state in the SouthWest, or soon enough will be. Again, if McC panders to the Latinos, how is he going to backtrack! No way these people are voting Republican, anyway, unless you are talking about the minority of the Mexican-Americans who are descended from the original settlers, and who are in my experience, just as against illegal immigration as the rest of us.

I say he backs the legislators who are going to carry out their strong state laws against illegals and let the chips fall where they may.

And, if Hayworth wins, you can forget Arizona having a Republican senator.

If we can keep illegals off the voting rolls, IMHO, Hayworth has a good shot in the general. McCain has so overplayed this "Maverick, Bi-Partisan" hosshiite so badly in the past, that he has proven to be of less use to a conservative agenda than a good, anti-abortion blue dog Democrat. IMHO, you can't even trust McC on SCOTUS nominations.

I agree that it ain't gonna be easy, but I think Hayworth can (a) beat him, and (b) beat the Democrat. And, I still cannot understand exactly what the hell Sarah Palin is doing in Arizona.
