I agree - if people of courage and convtions and principles do nothing we are way past the middle.

What to do - what can tiny little citizens without any power do? Since those with power merely assist the coup by remaining silent or at most, a few mild criticisms of this policy or that decision. Hardly any mention the actual usurpation of power, both the crimes that got him where he is, and the continuing crimes he and his administration commit day after day.

I thought months ago and voiced on FR of mass strike - national strikes. How about one week - all over the country - everyone who’s disgusting and outraged just do nothing - no one go to work, to school, shop, nothing. Just mass at each state capitol and DC. Or wherever one can. Rallies. It brought down the government of Czekoslovakia (never can spell it). Not a shot was fired.

And will be sucked down the whirlpool that appears at the Obama drain hole that slurps down Moslems, Christians and those of other religions to satisfy his destructive, narcissistic arrogance.

Obama wants to declare martial law to suspend the Constitution and rule by decree so this would give him the excuse, though it might well be the way the cookie should crumble as there are tens, no hundreds of thousands, no millions who would resist such actions and at least 60 million Americans are armed.

It might take something that drastic to trigger them into action and try to save the country.

I think it will take something drastic. Maybe a few drastics all at once.

I don’t think the left will prevail. But it will be hard and difficult to overcome the coup. People are not in a fighting spirit now; even those that hate what’s happening. They think it will just turn around by itself, or not get too much worse, or voting more Repubs into office will change it.

Greek financial tragedy

Large stock of nonperishable or multi-year expiration food stuff, specially items you use in the family. Rice, oats etc., that can provide sustainable, though not necessarily tasty, nourishment which can be boiled with water. Clean water availability also a high priority.
Salt, sugar - and airtight containers in which things can be stored.

The rest can be anything you believe can be wanted by others in your area and usable as barter. In return for fresh vegetables/produce or other items grown locally.

And NO, not an investment light bulbs as electricity may no longer be available.

With vehicle or truck fuel scarce or unavailable at an affordable price, transport of items for any long distance will disappear so you will need to plug into your local producers of anything you may need.

Cash or silver or gold will have little or no value - compared to items of barter, like certain items of badly needed clothing, foot wear or certain services that can be offered in exchange for products.

Gold and silver, though many will rush to deny this and will be correct, for a year or two, will have no more value than paper cash as there is nothing you can do with it other than use it as a form of barter.

As peoples’ needs change from something with which to keep accounts toward barter of things they need - like toothpaste or toothbrushes, or socks, or spools of cotton or knitting wool, or writing paper, bits of colored metal will not make the cut.

All such things will be worth more than money of any kind -with silver or gold counting as “money”. And if purchased now, hold their value.

Everything is also regional. Depending on your finances you stock up on all your family needs of everyday items you now take for granted because you go out and buy it.

Inventory/estimate a few years of what you use and need to replace, including medication, and see to what degree you can stock up on these. (sizes etc., and perishability. Even powdered milk has an expiration date as to canned goods. Even freeze dried items do.)

If you can afford to adopt a business mind, take a look at highly needed items in your regions which are not locally manufactured come from far away. Toilet paper, tissues etc., come to mind. Clearly, items which are fast used up make the bet barter items for later.

FARS,

do you know if this sort of thing is being framed as a major way to prevent terrorism?

My suspicion is that it is—but I don’t have any hard evidence yet.

Anyone who has not yet prepared for disruptions of one kind or another (or a whole bunch of ‘em at once) should do so asap. Things are not normal and are going to get worse.

And if everything continues without disruptions (ha ha) then big deal - it means not having to shop for a lot of stuff for a long time. At the very least, prices are rising and will continue to do so. And mere rising prices is the rosy glasses optimistic view.

Water is vital.

Kartographer has a good file of info available, maybe he could post the link here.

The embedded RFID (radio Frequency ID) chip is in my USA passport and in the credit card size version of it.

They are also gradually putting it into credit cards. And already have it on some cell phones.

The trouble is that all you need is a small computerized receiver the size of the new “Tablets” and pass close by and drain all the information from the RFID onto the unit and have everything that is on that. Thus identity theft.

The latest “bombshell” is the order by this Administration via Hillary Clinton that students from Iran will from now on be granted two year multiple entry visas. Meaning that Islamic regime agents who had to arrive with only three month visas and go through registration and fingerprinting - as did all citizens of about a dozen Arab countries plus non-Arab Iran, have a sooth entry, permission to stay and NO LONGER have to go through registration processing on arrival!

Obama is getting bolder and bolder in his facilitation of entry to terrorists, specially Islamic ones. He wants to set Israel's borders but cannot control our defend ours!

There are “shield” materials, however, that can block such attempts and come in the form of passport covers,
