Anyone else notice that Mrs. Obama appears to be with child?
I have never met a person who said, “I wish I had been killed in the womb because my mother was over forty.”
>>A baby in the WH? Must be Kal’s.<<
Yeah, he’s too busy screwing all of us.
I've heard rumors that it isn't hers.
Father would have to be Chewbacca. Wookies tend to stay with their own kind.
Women are having babies later these days, but 46 would be pushing it. Not to say it couldn’t happen.

Under the new health care mandate, if I was to get pregnant at age 46, I’ll just bet the govt. would make it THEIR business and decide what treatments I would be allowed to have as well as my baby if it happens to be born with Downs Syndrome or any other birth defect.
I never said anyone should have an abortion. I said when people get to that age, they need to think about the risks, not just to the kid, but the mother as well, and about what it means to the kid to be born to older parents. It’s not about limiting kids so you can have an expensive lifestyle, it’s about trying not to have kids so late in life that you end up being unable to participate fully as they get older. I’m 39 myself, and my wife is pregnant (she’s 31). We want to have at least 2 more. One of the things I have to think about is how old I’ll be at various milestones in their lives. At this point, when the youngest is ready to drive (assuming we have our kids as close together as possible, with the youngest born sometime in 2013), I’ll be near 60. When she graduates college with her bachelor’s, I’ll be 65. If she gets married when she’s in her late 20s, I’ll be past 70. That’s really pushing it. I’m not going to be able to enjoy her triumphs nearly as much as I would if I were even 10 years younger, and she’s not going to have me around nearly as long.
And Jim, it’s just as much my “business” as my opinions are your “business”. You need to get off your high horse, and realize that this board is about the exchange of opinion and information. You can’t just shout down people whose opinions differ from yours; that’s the DU way, not the FR way.
OTOH, the Obamas aren't ordinary people. I'm positive they would have NO PROBLEM with an abortion given they are Pro-Choice.
Michelle will have early advanced testing done and if the baby has Downs, they'll likely say she suffered a "miscarriage".

Also, it would seem that, despite the risk of a child of older parents having birth defects being “very low” as you put it, it was still high enough to affect your family. You’re awfully defensive for someone who says special needs children are “often a blessing”. If you take that kind of attitude, it’s very easy for people to interpret it as a lot more like someone who feels guilty about something and is trying to justify their decision, rather than someone who genuinely believes that.
I don’t think anyone disagrees that the middle-class and upper-class birthrates are very low, compared to the rates for those in “the ghetto”, and that as time goes on, the demographics of the country are going to change because of it. However, by saying that “the wrong people” are having kids, it sure sounds to me like you don’t think they should be allowed to have kids at all. Now who’s the one talking about things that are none of their business? Are you going to be the one to tell them they should start aborting their kids? Are you going to push for legislation to require that people on welfare not have children, or even be required to have vasectomies or tubal ligations in order to get their checks? If you want the middle class to have more kids, that’s fine, but the key is to make sure their kids are all going to be capable of productively contributing to society. That means encouraging them to start having kids younger, instead of waiting until after they have the expensive car, big house, and high-paying job.
No doubt. They might even go so far as to admit that she was never pregnant to begin with, given her weight. The other thing to consider is that, given all the talk of her being just a “beard” for the Zer0 due to certain rumors about his behavior and proclivities, the kid might not even be Zer0’s.
Triplets in her butt? I though it was a Volkswagen!
My father was almost 40 when I was born. The last of 4 and also the pick of the litter....:O) greatest dad in the world..
