Here is video of Rabbi David Nesenoff on “Fox and Friends” this morning to talk about his encounter with Israel-hating White House Correspondent Helen Thomas. Nesenoff is the Rabbi who interviewed Thomas at a White House Event celebrating Jewish Heritage where Thomas said Israel should “get the hell out of Palestine,” and also said Jews should “go home” to “Poland and Germany.” Nesenoff said his initial reaction to Thomas’ remarks was “Whoa,” because he had “two teenage impressionable young men” with him, both of whom were wearing skull caps. Thomas has since said she “regrets” the remarks. Nesenoff said “it’s time” for Helen Thomas to go, and “it’s really disgusting for her” to continue as a member of the White House Press Corps. “She showed her colors,” the Rabbi said. Rabbi Nesenoff is right. The revelation that she not only said these things, but did it deliberately in the presence of two Jewish teens (wearing skull caps) shows just how vile Helen Thomas has become in her hatred of Israel. As the Rabbi said, it’s time for her to go.

Does this idiot even know that when the UN partitioned the area and named it Palestine, that Jews were also palestinians?

Time to hustle her off to the Shady Acres Retirement Home, something that should have been done way back in the Reagan administration. At least if she manages to get “retired” under a cloud of controversy, it will spare us the glowing retrospectives of her career which would occur the day she assumes room temperature during a White House press conference.

Let me offer an alternative thought on Helen Thomas.
First, I think it’s inappropriate to ever comment on someone’s relative unattractiveness. We should attempt to view their statements and ideas independent of whether they’re pretty or handsome. To do otherwise is to stoop to the level of thoughtless Democrats who dismissed John McCain on the basis that he was old and ugly. (How shallow must you be to vote on relative “prettiness?”)
Second, I think having Helen Thomas around may be a good thing. She has lost the power to disguise her true self under some all-inclusive, love-the-sinner, I’m-a-good-communist-and-it’s-good-for-everybody mask that has been so effective for other Democrats. She is the real statist Democrat with no sugar coating, no pretty mask, no soft misleading words. She is what they all are, but out in the open. Every word she speaks is from the heart with no spin that I’m sure all other Democrats know to put on their words to make them palatable to the larger audience. As such, she shows us daily what they truly are; monsters. The most horrible monster is one who is also beautiful and therefore whose politics and its inevitable results are under the radar.
Don’t give liberals the excuse of ignorance when it’s not deserved. They know the facts of most issues as well as any conservative does. They simply ignore the facts or outright deny them if pressed on a point. They have a political ideological agenda that supersedes everything else.
I have to say, regretfully, that you make a good point.
Here’s the thing. Probably less than 8,000 people across America read her stuff. She has to be paid at least $120k a year (my bet). This is a tremendous waste to keep her on...they could cut her...reset the salary to $70k and bring a brand-new person on.
It was named Palestine a long time before the UN partition. It was the Romans who so named it, intending insult to the rebellious Jews. The root of “Palestine” is Phillistine, (Plishti in Hebrew) the ancient enemy of Israel.
It never hurts to point out consistent liberal hypocrisy.
Remember who cast the tie breaker voted in Florida for Bush? She was attractive. Liberals nit picked her looks and mocked her looks because she was a conservative. This is how liberals operate. You are right though, as conservatives we need to rise above this.
