TRSoL Exclusive: HI Elections Clerk: "I believe Obama is eligible to hold office"
The Right Side of Life ^ | 06/11/2010 | Phil

Posted on 06/11/2010 7:18:27 AM PDT by Phil_GA

As I am about to show, WorldNetDaily only got half of their story right (full disclosure: The Right Side of Life.com has been featured on WND in the past and I still "trust but verify" what they post, most of the time).

I decided to actually contact Mr. Tim Adams at the email address linked in the Western Kentucky University faculty page mentioned in the WND article to find out for myself (and for you, loyal TRSoL readers) why he chose to "come out" now regarding the alleged quotes that WND has posted. ...

This time he doesn’t address the BC question at all.

“I had direct access to the Social Security database, the national crime computer, state driver’s license information, international passport information, basically just about anything you can imagine to get someone’s identity,” Adams explained. “I could look up what bank your home mortgage was in. I was informed by my boss that we did not have a birth record [for Obama].

I know everything there is to know about Ty Cobb. If you ask me a question about Ty Cobb, I'll go call my brother and ask him what the answer is.

Huh?

Listen: It's not about the birth certificate. It's not about Hawaii. It's about the father. Barack Obama is ineligible because of his father.

Obama cannot be an Natural Born Citizen. Cannot.

I think he said he believes obama is a natural born citizen because his mother is an American.

Half? More like 2/3rds right.

In any case, even at 50% that’s FAR better than all the other loons of media and blogs who consistently and persistently get the Natural Born Citizen and BC stories 100% wrong.

While I thought this was news (considering that WND had already covered this story and it's about WND and a particular subject; in other words, I'm merely conveying something folks don't already know), I'll certainly endeavor to stir the proverbial pudding over at the Blogs forum in the future.

That's because (and, quite frankly, I thought this was obvious on the face of it) I didn't include email headers. In other words, it's not like the guy is actually saying, "No, really, I've seen no evidence that Mr. Obama is foreign-born," else that would require a whole different level of analysis.

The point is that both accounts to converge enough to where WND could make insinuations about a given subject matter, and I'm simply calling on WND to be better at their reporting next time.

Just another example of constitutional ignorance.

As we all know, “citizen” is NOT the same as a “natural born citizen,” and one must be the latter in order to hold the office of POTUS. That is, if law and the constitution mean anything at all any more.

So a former Hawaiian election clerk unintentionally spilled the beans.

Why is his head shaved? Is it possible that this guy, despite his claims, has a connection with the white supremes who first interviewed him?

This is the quote from the WND article I was referring to:

While Adams, who noted he spent nearly 10 years in the islands and has a bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii, says he's certain Obama was not born there, he also does think the president is indeed a U.S. citizen, since his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham was an American.

Except that she was too young to meet the statute in effect at that time.

Phil,
Read your post. However your information doesn’t add or subtract from WND report. WND reported that Mr. Tim Adams believes personally that Soetoro is eligible to be president.

You’ve only given credibility to Mr. Adams assertions that he was told and discovered for himself that Soetoro was not born in Hawaii and, and there is no birth certificate at all.

WND did not characterize Mr. Adams as a birther. Your assertion that they did is false.

At this point you’ve managed to uncover your own biases by what you called the full disclosure.

At this point verify before trust is my motto for your information.

“I believe Pres. Obama was born a United States citizen, and is eligible to hold office, I find the idea that because he was probably born outside of the U.S., he must be some kind of alien to be basically racist. I do think we should close this issue and pass legislation requiring office seekers to prove identity before running for elected office.”

The issue is NOT whether or not this person ‘believes’ Obama is eligible to hold office. He is stating that he believes that Obama was born OUTSIDE the US and is STILL eligible. This person does not know laws apparently because by immigration laws, Obama would not have born a US CITIZEN, much less a Natural Born Citizen if born outside the US due to his father not bein a citizen and his mother not old enough to pass citizenship on to her child.

And I find it particularly distasteful to throw racism in if you don’t think he’s a citizen when in fact HE WOULD NOT BE.

I agree. And his email completely disagrees with what WND reported he said. Obviously, someone is lying...or was gotten to.

I think he said he believes obama is a natural born citizen because his mother is an American.

Yes, his mother was an American. But was she old enough to confer US citizenship on little Barry at her then age of 18 under the law on Aug. 4, 1961?

The Washington claim states, "If in fact Obama was born in Kenya, the laws on the books in the United States at the time of his birth stated if a child is born abroad and one parent was a U.S. Citizen, which would have been his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, Obama's mother would have had to live ten (10) years in the United States, five (5) of which were after the age of fourteen (14). At the time of Obama's birth, his mother was only eighteen (18) and therefore did not meet the residency requirements under the law to give her son (Obama) U.S. Citizenship much less the status of 'natural born.'"

At this point verify before trust is my motto for your information.

Then I suppose it's a good thing that I don't create postings to make everyone happy, now, isn't it?

Setting the snarky-ism aside for a moment, the bottom line is that I have only ever claimed that WND insinuated (and fully italicized this for emphasis in my posting just prior to my sharing email information from Mr. Adams) that, somehow, whatever Mr. Adams ran across, this should lead any reasonable person to assume that this contracted elections officer (a position of which I don't know is actually true to begin with) is confirming that Mr. Obama is, by extension of not having a birth certificate (original WND report), ineligible for the presidency. That is, in my view, WND's (here's that word again) insinuation, and definitely not Mr. Adams'.

I never claimed to be unbiased either; I only claim to stir the proverbial pudding and to knock down perceptions that might not necessarily be completely true.

The law was different for single mothers versus married mothers.

Which brings a whole other argument about whether she should be considered single since the marriage , if it took place, was not legal.

Why would it not be legal? The “marraige” he had in Kenya was a tribal ceremony and not a legal one. If I have a ceremony of a wedding and never turn in a marriage license application or get it formalized by the state, I am free to get married without divorce.
