They just don’t get it! Frustrating.
No. Just a bunch of RINOs wanting to cage Sarah.
BTW Palin would be the perfect choice for leader of GOP. There should be no discussion.
They are nuts. That is a way to sideline her if I ever heard. What they need is a Haley Barbour type: low profile, highly effective. This party official is supposed to be focused on getting Republicans elected, not on taking positions on contentious issues.
“establishment seems to think they have an idea: Replace Steele with Sarah Palin. No, Im serious here”
Seriously? If Palin had said “57 states” her career would have been over.
You need to focus on the gaffes of your president.
BTTT
Bad idea in my opinion.
She would have to step down from the chairman spot if she were to run for Prez- and the accusations of “Quitter!!” would be heard again.
Nope, I think she’s doing just dandy flying solo...she’s practically running things and directing agenda anyway from Facebook, LOL!
I’d rather see John Bolton
Liz Cheney
((((PING))))
My guess is she wouldn’t be interested.
One thing is for sure, if SP were to replace Steele, at least I wouldn’t hang up with the RNC called me for money.
Oh, speaking of that, have you gotten your multiple calls from Mike Huckabee?
Stupid idea. Palin is good for going around the country and getting people excited about voting for a decent person. Palin should not be a candidate for anything, and should not be party chairman.
Get rid of that Obama lap dog Steele and put Rove in there.
I don’t blame the establishment for trying. With success, Palin and much of the Tea Party would be taken out of commission. The idea is nothing more than a cynical ploy by the Republican establishment to neuter its base.
There is no question that the Republican Party needs a genuine, base-friendly conservative at the helm to control the allocation of effort and resources toward getting conservative candidates on the ballot and elected.
Just not THAT conservative, thank you.
IOW sit down, shut up, and raise money for the RNC rather than for tourself. No thanks.
My choice for RNC chair would be either Courtney Friel or Liz.
I’m sorry, but I think Palin as Chair is exactly what the party and the country needs.
The duties of the chair include setting the tone for the party, being an effective spokesperson and raising funds. Palin would excel at all three.
Most importantly, she’d make sure that the party was re-established as a conservative one at all levels.
Furthermore, if Palin turns the party around that’s nothing but a feather in her cap for a future run and takes away a lot of the “but she has no national experience” whine.
Actually who could do a better job of rallying the GOP this fall? She wont and should not take it. But that does not mean she should not be discussed for this job.
She has enough sense to stay far away from that thankless job.
Plus it’d be a major step down for her (after being Governor).
