NFL Player Puts Islam Above Team
Logans Warning ^ | August 9Th, 2010 | Christopher Logan

Posted on 08/09/2010 12:52:30 PM PDT by Islaminaction

Once again we see Islam being brought into the workplace. Today we learn that Minnesota Vikings safety Husain Abdullah, has decided that fasting and playing at a lower level, is more important than giving it his all for the team.

Even while sprinting in the heat and humidity during drills, sometimes in full pads, Abdullah is adamant about his faith. He will not allow himself so much as a cup of water until the sun sets and before it rises.

“I’m putting nothing before God, nothing before my religion,” Abdullah said. “This is something I choose to do, not something I have to do. So I’m always going to fast.

I, too, can not condemn him for this and Chariots of Fire also came to mind

I saw that movie but all I can remember is a bunch of guys running on a beach.......Were they all fasting at that time?

The NFL plays everyday? I didn’t know.

An NFL team needs to practice pretty much every day.

“I’m putting nothing before God, nothing before my religion,” Abdullah said.

Amen! God before everything - particularly our false idols.

(the problem, Abdullah, is that your religion happens to be worshiping Satan ... I think you are sincere enough, but being sincerely wrong isn't going to help you. Open the Bible and search for the Truth)

Yet here you are supporting it...

More (less than) interesting spin.

That fasting is a fraud anyway....

Sunup to sun down is not a fast, it’s skipping lunch and having a late dinner...

No, move on in the sense of give him as little publicity as possible.

As for demands, so far he hasn't demanded anything......yet.

If he does, I guess he needs to go find another team willing to put up with his "diversity"

Personally, If I was his coach, he would ride the bench picking splinters out of Islamic butt because, I'm sure as the sun will come up tomorrow his contract says nothing about religion and a lot about his performance.

You clearly supported it, so you save the spin. But I get it, you just do not want to deal with the threat of Sharia. Good work on avoiding all of those links, but no surprise at all.

September 9th is the last day of Ramadan,

I didn't know that nor did the article mention it. From what was offered in the article, I naturally assumed it was a season long thing.......

This guy is just begging for attention to his supremacist ideology

Begging? If the MSM hadn't reported on this isolated training camp anomaly, would you even have heard of it???

Oh look, another post with no substance at all. I clearly showed PART of the Sharia movement, but the best you can do is bury your head in the sand.

Outside of Israel, Islam has taken over the Middle East, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Indonesian, Bangladesh, large portions of Europe, Africa, etc. They are forming their own enclaves here in America. How much more of the world do they have to takeover, before you wake up?

He probably also talks on a cell phone and drives a car. These are two inventions that, if left to Islam, never would have been invented. If he wants to live like he is in the 7th century, he should wear a robe and go live in some middle east s$%@hole.

Welcome to reporting for effect rather than the transmission of fact. It’s a month long and since they use the lunar calendar it moves around constantly, last year it straddled the end of pre-season and the beginning of regular, this year it ends on the first day of regular season, and next year it’ll all be over comfortably in the pre-season. It’s really a big non-event. A while ago when it was in November and December it would have been a bigger thing, and was kind of a big thing for some NBA players, but now that it’s shifted to late summer this only reason this was a story on ESPN is because so little is happening. Had Brett Favre actually retired no one would know about this player’s fast.

He’s not really demanding anything, he’s just not eating and drinking during the day.

The year: 2050
Location: U.S. Madrassas
Muslim Teacher: "...and back in 2010, those stupid infidels said, 'they're not really demanding anything...it's just a simple religious observation.' And that class, is how we easily conquered the West: thru what we learned from Liberals before we killed or converted them all: Creeping Incrementalism."

That’s really cute, stupid but cute. You know Muslim athletes have been fasting during Ramadan for a long long time. Most days it doesn’t even get a story, sometimes it’s a slow news month though and ESPN has to go digging deep. And Jews have been fasting when Yom Kippur hits their sport, or not performing when their sport hit on a Saturday. And of course he actually isn’t demanding anything, he’s just not eating or drinking between sunrise and sunset for the next 30 days. I went like 3 years only eating dinner just because that’s what I wanted to do, skipping meals that you eat is not a demand. If he wanted other people to skip meals, that would be a demand.

It is very surprising to me that after centuries of history and the fact that all of the tenets of their movement are clearly published for all to see, that so many people are still duped into thinking that it is a “religion” and deserves protection in this country for that reason. Not only surprising, but down right frightening!

As a Christian why are you supporting a man following a religion that calls for your dominance?

What would you have to say about a Jewish player that refused to practice on the Sabbath? Or what about a Catholic player that insisted on attending Mass on Sundays to receive the Eucharist?

If we are going to demand freedom for a Christian to express his/her religion in workplaces (or on the grid iron), then we need to expect others will want to practice their faiths too.
