It’s not natural.Back and forth,back and forth,back and forth.

Ummm...that sounds like basketball and football. Guess that beats 'round and 'round like NASCAR.

Boring as hell. Ranks alongside soccer, golf, and Indy racing.

It’s cruel of you to post this without identifying the player and where I can see more. So,....who is she?

Thanks.

Class A A-hole ex-father-in-law was/is an absolute tennis fanatic.

Plays to Live/Lives to Play “Masters” league BS. Buys weird cable channels so he can watch international tournaments in the middle of the night.

Super fit and conditioned at 65, looks down his nose at anyone who isn’t.

As if I didn’t hate tennis enough already, he soured me on it real quick. Jerk...

If I had to guess, and I hate to waste good guesses on professional tennis players, it’s the on-court behavior coupled with the ridiculous indulgence of the behavior by officials and the organization, going all the way back to John “you’re an abortion” McEnroe, Ilie Nastase and the other prima donnas before and since.

Could it be that Americans are ALL watching the exciting international “sport” of soccer?

Wow, way to lay it out.

Hard, yes...

world wide sports writers voted it the HARDEST a few years back...mostly because a player is ALONE (no coach) during matches...and it is very, very physical.

“You mean “females” like Billie Jean King?”

That was female? No more like the Russian chick Anna.

Aside from tennis, this guy sounds like an all around jerk no matter what sport he might like. He’s probably a jerk or A hole about a lot of other things in his life too.

There are plenty of good people who play and like tennis.

I’m sure that there are golf jerks, fishing jerks and auto racing jerks, etc. out there too.

I really liked Borgs topspin game.I used to try my best to imitate it

Would love to be able to watch McEnroe in his prime up against Nadal.

Right-click on the pic and select “save as”. That shows the file name. In this case, it seems to be one Simona Halep I have never heard of. Google then does the rest.

My gosh, what a sight and what disrespect for the game. I’ve a hard time accepting that the officials didn’t tell her to put on some clothes. Disgusting.

Obama’s head whips from side to side as if he’s watching tennis every time he lectures us.

I don’t think tennis has ever been broadly popular, anyway. It’s for people with money, and most people know it and don’t care about it.

You're VERY wrong about that. When I "came of age".. in the early 70's, tennis was EXTREMELY popular with people of all ages, and social status. Every small town had tons of courts.. PACKED.. nearly every night with people playing.

It was CHEAP! A good racket cost ~ $75 (a cheap one, $10). Balls were $2 a can.. a court was free.

I think, it has lost popularity because.... Americans are now TOO DAMN LAZY to get outside and play any sport.

The Williams sisters also have not helped the sport. They dominated the sport for so long on the women's side, there was little doubt who would win. Sort of like, what John Wooden did to NCAA basketball.

I'm still hopeful that tennis can and will regain popularity.. I'm old and fat now, but.. I can still play tennis well enough to enjoy it. And, it's the BEST excerise I get.... outside of drinking red wine! :-)

notice what those guys are playing with? Wooden rackets..

I am a FIRM believer, that pro’s should go back to wooden rackets... The technology has changed the game SO MUCH, you can’t compare players from different generations..

And, the game today is just TOO MUCH about serving... requiring WOOD rackets would put a limit on technology advances... and, make the points more interesting.
