For people that disagree with her views, it’s often hard to understand what could possibly be Sarah Palin’s appeal to so many people. Well, here is clear proof of why: When Vietnam veteran Dave Roever found himself in Wasilla, Alaska with no TV equipment to make his appearance with Glenn Beck, Palin offered both her studio and her personal make-up artist services free of charge.
Think of it as the political opposite of the John Edwards hair-fiddling tape: here is Palin, a global superstar at this point, doing the makeup of a minor Glenn Beck guest and proffering her studio to help her pals out– the show must go on, after all. She doesn’t say a word in the clip, nor does she look like she is wearing any make-up (her hair might even be at the reasonably messy level most people’s is when they’re not on TV!). The message: Sarah is a team player.
Contrast this to the message about Palin we’ve been getting the rest of the week, especially from that scathing Vanity Fair profile, and it’s starting to become increasingly difficult as we approach November to tell apart the real Palin from the smear campaigns, or the real Palin from the propaganda. But it also means the entertainment value of all three are increasingly exponentially, and if Palin continues to crank out apolitical and light-hearted moments like this one, she’ll only make it harder for those on the left to continue to find her irritating and noxious.
Dave Roever is a pretty special guy. Blown-up and burnt to a crisp in Vietnam, he has made a life of motivating people to make their lives count — now, and in eternity. Amazing fellow.
I have liked (loved but don't tell Todd) Sarah since long before she was the VP nominee. This might sound strange, but after seeing this tape, I know she will be president some day.
Friday's Glenn Beck was a great program, with Roever and the awesome Rabbi Lapin. For a special treat watch the 8/27 program that Glenn did at the Kennedy Center. Just incredible.

I thought it sweet and funny when Glenn said as she's doing Dave, he's taking off his ear and joking with her -- that was just something, I'm glad Beck described that little bit to us.
That and she's also just a good person! The fact that she isn't arrogant like the elite know-it-alls on the left is one of the reasons they both despise and fear her...it's their displaced deep-seated guilt. It's why most of them need/have therapists!
Well, sure. After all, you knew about her before the nomination .... The rest of us down here didn't get that early look - and ole Todd got his vote in first. 8<)
I have some disfigurment myself, nothing at all like what Dave has (or has been through), I can tell you the one thing that I appreciate the most is when it is not noticed, people, family or strangers, treat me as regular ol' me. I don't know how many other TV appearances Dave may have made over the years, whether or not he has had to have some make-up artist apply to his face, I hope none ever had the *hesitation* hand when doing so -- but I've gotta tell you, for my part, that diving in and just going about getting him ready, that touched me, as did the taking off his ear, joking as I wrote above.
You are correct, this is a special woman regardless how things pan out in the future.

That’s easy Fran. She’s honest, smart, brilliant in fact, loves her country, wants to keep us from going socialist, is for small business, smaller government, lower taxes, against the health care bill, against immigration as it is right now, has guts and determination to stand eye to eye with anyone and stand her ground.
She’s attractive and loves her family. She chose not to have an abortion, she stood by her daughter through her pregnancy and birth of her baby, she probably even forgave her daughter for ever bringing that loser 15 minutes of fame former son in law into their lives.
She has a great marriage, a handsome husband, great kids, a son who served, she is hated by your ilk and loved by by those who know her.
She is factual, upfront and is ALWAYS smiling...something you NEVER see on the faces of the gloom and doom, woe is me opposition. She has a bright outlook for our country and a vision for an even greater country that we will become in spite of all the losers in charge right now. She is happy and optimistic and not mad, angry, bitter and pessimistic(for whatever reasons) as the opposition.
I could go on and on Fran but...I think you catch my drift. I think a LOT of people know the real appeal of Sarah Palin. You should join us...I think you would be a much happier person. However, we know you won’t because it seems you and the opposition are most happy when you are mad. So, go on and continue to be ugly and mad. In the meantime we’ll be happy and clap our hands and oh yes...we can see November from our window.
You all missed the one point that was clearly shown in this, Sarah and Dave are brother and sister. When family meet, united in Spirit with Yahweh as Father, they act like family. There is no barriers between brothers and sisters. If I have something you need, even though you just met me and you are my brother, I do all I can to help you. What Sarah did is nothing out of the ordinary, her brother needed help and she gave it.

You omitted to say one of the most important reasons why Sarah has become such a personality in America: She is a Christian and proud of it.
Could you imagine Michelle Obama doing this? What about any other liberal feminist????
