The Blaze ^ | September 10, 2010 | SeekTheTruth

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is known for telling it like he sees it. At a town hall meeting in Raritan, NJ, he made sure to bolster that reputation. The fireworks start in the beginning but be sure to listen to the video clip below.  Governor Christie explains how the teacher‘s union in the state refused to compromise to save the state’s crucial education dollars.  Listen and see why I love Governor Chris Christie!

His direct way of using facts to dowse emotion is amazing.

The woman was speechless until she fell into the trap of mentioning “tone” and then he finished her off.

That female jackass undoubtedly voted for 0. In spite of Christie’s recital of the facts showing that she was totally full of BS, I’m sure that she and tens of thousands like her heard nothing of what he said and will still blow the union horn and still vote for socialistic thieves like 0 and Xao Bi Den.

That was the first time I've been truly impressed by a politician in a long time.

THIS is what we need in our next president, our governors, our representatives. Not celebrity, not emotion, not feeling, not good looks, not any of the CRAP that people feed off of emotionally. We need someone who will say what he means and be unafraid to talk honestly and with facts and logic at the ready.

I see no one like this running for president so far.

...you know, there’s something about this guy that reminds me of an old time MLB home plate umpire...he’s big, and he ain’t gonna be pushed around after he makes a call...I really like that about him.

He was a lot nicer than I could have been when she started putting on her head-shaking little show. I’d have said, “You know what? Get bent! Next question.”

I love this guy. I watched the video yesterday. His description of the 1B shortfall (a one time Fed infusion...oh by the way, done during Corzine’s campaign)was NEVER going to be repeated. He tried to negotiate with the teacher’s union but they couldn’t give 1% towards their health benefits this year? That move alone would have saved 700 billion...but oh, no, they wouldn’t budge. Well guess what? This is what happens when you can’t share the pain of these economic times.

He lays out the facts like no one I’ve seen. The public needs more of this guy and those like him.

I hope Corbett is listening.

Wow. He sure knows how to handle leftists, their propaganda and their rhetorical ploys.

(He held his own in the face of another brilliant, union
“ed-yoo-cay-toor”.)

IMHO

My prayer is long life and good health for Gov. Christie and for any other political leader who has the same courage he has.

Not to put to fine a point on it, but...

Xao = “Sh-ow” (”ow” as in pin prick)

Zhou = “dzoe” or “Joe” close as you can get in phonetic translation.

:)

He reminds me of Fred Flintstone, but like Wilma, I luv em anyway.

I could listen to him explain the facts of real-life to “educators” all day long...

I have been listening to teachers my WHOLE LIFE whine and cry about me-me-me- and then threaten and hold the town hostage right before school...even as a CHILD I thought it was selfish and greedy. And I was 8 or 9 when I figured this out. It just seemed wrong to me.

Greedy, selfish, pompous and lazy...go get’em Fred!

This will be duplicated in many other states across the US in the coming year because their budgets all got the one time money shot from DC. In Jacksonville Fl for instance, the money sent went for teacher raises...no one asked where is the money coming for these raises next year. Reminds me of the 100,000 cop program under Clinton. They hired a bunch of officers with the money which was one year money, when the DC money went away, the cities were in the hobson’s choice of firing them or finding the money to keep them employed.

It is much easier to present a compelling, simple, truthful argument when one has nothing to hide, believes what he is saying, and has a valid point to make. When these things are not true, you hear lots of “uhs” and linguistic qualifiers— kind of like what we hear out of Obama and other liberals. Gov. Christie responds well because he has a valid response.

Teacher: "How are we gonna pay for... programs?"

"I'm a taxpayer!" Yeah, your "pay" comes from someone else's taxes. So, in effect, you are only paying back what you took.
