The Blaze ^ | September 10, 2010 | SeekTheTruth

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is known for telling it like he sees it. At a town hall meeting in Raritan, NJ, he made sure to bolster that reputation. The fireworks start in the beginning but be sure to listen to the video clip below.  Governor Christie explains how the teacher‘s union in the state refused to compromise to save the state’s crucial education dollars.  Listen and see why I love Governor Chris Christie!

Damn.
Excellent command of the facts & an excellent delivery.
Now, I may not agree with 100% of his political beliefs, but I gotta respect this man.

Nice to see someone tell it like it is and not back down.

The teacher did have a legitimate point about teachers buying school supplies, though. Many (most?) teachers lay out around $500 per year from their own pocket to buy materials for their classrooms. I wish Christie had answered that portion, since it was valid.

Outstanding.

He uses facts and data to shut her up, and she still whines.

The teahcers get free health care for life. A few hundred for supplies is nothing.

May be one of a few politicians that get’s it. The Teachers Union cravenly worked to defund NJ education in an effort to make Christie look bad. The situation is more than a little bizarre. A President Christie may be able to rollback some of Barry’s ill conceived expensive boondoggles.

Everytime I see Chris Christie in a public forum, he presents his side of the issue with facts and passion. When I look at him, I always ask myself, “Are we looking at a future President of the United States?”

He will only have three years in as governor of New Jersey, but given that states’ abyssmal state of affairs, if he can turn it around, then he might a good enough record to run and be very, very competitive.

Those “teachers” (indoctrinators, is more accurate) sure are an altruistic and noble bunch, aren’t they?

While their neighbors (WHO PAY THEIR EFFING SALARIES, HEALTH CARE, AND PENSIONS) are losing their jobs, having their pay-rate cut, having their hours cut, having the cost of their essentials rise, the teachers show up with a nasty sneer on their faces demanding...

“MO’ MONEY!!!”

“I wish Christie had answered that portion, since it was valid.”

I’d rather the teachers union answered that question.

“When these things are not true, you hear lots of “uhs” and linguistic qualifiers...”

I am especially fond of “ya know”.

Our beloved president has it down to a polished delivery as in “ya’ow”. (He leaves off the “kn” for some reason.)

I’m always amazed at how all those Democrat geniuses love to use the expression “you know” three times in every sentence.

It’s absolutely obnoxious and maddening.

Christie isn’t as across-the-board conservative as I like, but he’s rock solid on fiscal issues, and has cojones the size of Trenton itself.

I’m sure if Christie ever ran for President he would be called a RINO for his stand on social issues but this guy is politically courageous and has a tremendous command of facts. He’s impressive.
