O'Donnell and the Founding Fathers
From SeaTto Shining Sea ^ | 9/17/10 | Purple Mountains

As I was pondering the unexpected primary win of Christine O’Donnell in Delaware, and whether or not to donate to her campaign, I was reminded of what the signers of the Declaration of Independence had risked.

They actually risked, as they put it, a “pledge to each other our lives, our Fortunes, & our sacred Honor”. They really meant that because, if the British won, these signers would all be hung. What am I risking by making a donation to O’Donnell? That she will lose, or that she will not carry out her pledge to the Tea Parties to be a real conservative and vote to reduce government and reduce taxes?

I’m a “10-out-of-10” conservative but my math led me to prefer Castle. I believe in the Buckley Rule, not the Limbaugh Law or the Hannity Hypothesis. I don’t accept the premise of the “We are not clairvoyants” argument. And I can think of at least two things that damage the GOP brand way more than RINOs. We can have an honest disagreement about that.

But the people have had their say, I’m 100% behind O’Donnell. She won fair and square, she’s the candidate, Go Christine!

I’m appalled by the behavior of Castle, Rove & Krauthammer. I understand Rove being P-O’d Tuesday night on Hannity, I’d be worried if he wasn’t P-O’d about losing (though he still should have toned it down). Fine, go home, have a bottle of Scotch, go to bed, spend a day getting over it, and get up Thursday morning fighting the enemy and that means fighting Democrats!!

That goes to you too, Didier, you’re just as bad - now get on side and run your routes with passion even if the ball isn’t coming to you.

Ovide Lamontagne on the other hand is an exemplary gentleman, and deserves nothing less than great success in future endeavors. That gang of sore losers (add Crist, Murkowski etc) should take a lesson.
