. . .
Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is a synthetic chemical with various uses, most commonly found in nonstick surfaces (think Teflon pans and packaging for microwavable foods like popcorn and pizza), and in breathable, all-weather clothing, such as Gore-Tex.
. . .
He says studies show that PFOA is present in 98 percent of Americans' blood and 100 percent of newborns. It doesn't break down and thus accumulates in the system over time.

Goretex contains this poison.
Chris Coons stepdad invented Goretex.
Chris Coons got rich from poisoning me and now he wants to take the money he got from poisoning me and buy his way into a US Senate seat.
No, Chris Coons, you're not me. I don't poison people.
Cast iron is the original non-stick. Natural fibers next to the skin, thanks, no gore-tex. Minimize your exposure, people.
BOYCOTT GORETEX!!!
Nuts, you mean they lied when they said it was Leslies dad? Climbing into my 30 something year old bivouac bag just won't be the same .

I tend to ignore anything with the word “gore” in it.
“Cast iron is the original non-stick.”
I honestly had a pots and pans set in my early 20’s that was pure cast iron. My beliefs at the time demanded it. I was into all this ‘natural living’ crap. I honestly had to use PAM to stop the sticking after a few initial uses.
The biggest problems with diets these days are too much fat, salt and carbs and not enough fiber. A good philosophy doesn’t require going to a complete natural diet, but rather cutting down on fast food, soda, beer and preprepared junk.
You've got to be kidding me.
When measuring instruments took a quantum leap in the 60s and 70s, the inevitable happened. Space age tools and weapons, in the hands of apes.
Everything is deadly, in sufficient amounts. New instruments measure compounds in the low parts per trillion. Unfortunately everything in the world that can be inhaled, eaten or touched contains these compounds and, now that the hysterical neurotics seem to rule policy and laws, absurd requirements are being legislated.
Space age tools in the hands of apes.
Water purity requirements that are unachieveable, Food purity that never existed and can't ever exist (Google Bruce Ames, of the University of California, Berkeley.)
I don't use any of products listed, never needed them and I don't like popcorn.
But I wouldn't hesitate to use any of them if I ever need them.
Call me names, but at least I'm sane.
I’m looking for the research tying Chris Coons to the poisoning of me.
I don’t know if The Daily Green is the best source.
But I know that Chris Coons is running for Senate in Delaware against Christine O’Donnell. And I love Christine O’Donnell.
1) Chris Coons stepdad Robert W. Gore invented Goretex.
2) It’s POISON. Causes birth defects. Maybe autism.
3) And Chris Coons takes his blood money and tries to buy a US Senate seat.
4) Hit Chris Coons directly in the pocketbook. Boycott Gore-tex
You have a better chance of finding good cast iron (old Griswold and other makes) in second-hand stores and junk shops than on the shelf new. If so inclined, do watch out for signs the pan has been overheated (warping or 'dishing' of the base), and note the cooking surface should be smooth without any apparent porosity. Much of the new cast has a grainy surface testure which can make it very difficult to season properly and thus a pain to work with.
Thanks for the advice. I cook on Stainless now. I refuse to cook on Teflon or other synthetic surfaces, even though Stainless is somewhat ‘synthetic’, I know.
Is Lodge cast iron now grainy? I have one I’ve had for at least 25 years and it’s silky smooth.
At least Lodge is made in the US. I read that China sometimes melts old car engines into its iron used for cookware.
I don’t care.
Christine is not a witch and they call her one.
She’s not crazy and they call her that.
There’s enough information to call Coons a person who has made millions of dollars poisoning people.
Chris Coons is personally polluting the environment with toxins. He gets millions and millions of dollars from Goretex. That’s how I see it. I’ll keep reading.
I’m talking about Goretex not teflon.
I want NO PFOA in my body. Period. I don’t care if Chris Coons has personally promised to destroy the evidence that PFOA is harmful or not. Doesn’t matter. I have PFOA in my body and I don’t want it there.
God did not put PFOA in my body. It’s assault and battery. It’s pollution. Environmental pollution. And it effects me whether or not it gives me cancer.
I don’t want it. And Chris Coons is making money from poisoning me.
Any lie as long as we win?
That is the left’s mantra.
I think you should get a fix, and correct your heading.
No POFA's in Gen. Ripper's bodily fluids, I bet.
No.
That’s the headline.
I posted a news article.
I’m saying that the evidence is there to support my position.
I don’t think that anyone truly knows exactly how dangerous the poisons that DuPont and W.L. Gore are selling.
And I don’t know how much money Chris Coons makes selling the products that poison me.
But it is undisputed that people have this completely man made chemical in their bodies.
Flouride is at least natural.
PFOAs are far far worse, and Chris Coons makes millions by poisoning us.
Pop over to DU and post these there too :>)
Could be interesting to watch the thread...
Good info to get out - but I don’t think concentrating it here will be beneficial as intended.
(Post it up on the DE board too:)
