Here is audio of Rush Limbaugh’s reaction this morning to the results of last night’s 2010 Midterm Election – “Wipe Out!”

“It was a wipe out, and don’t let anyone tell you anything otherwise.”

Rush played, “Ding-Dong, the Witch is Dead,” in honor of the end of Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House!

“This was a total rejection of the Obama Agenda. This was a total rejection of the Democrat Party.”

I wish I could say or feel the same. With Barney Frank, Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Deval Patrick, Jerry Brown, etc. winning, I’m more depressed than anything.

I am glad Kasich won OH, though. He will be my gov starting in Jan.

You aren’t alone. I remember 1980 and 94, where we slaughtered the Democrat big name senators and ran the table in the biggest races. Last night we got big numbers in one house and their biggest snakes slithered away.

And my own commie rep lied her way to a narrow victory. Sickened.

My view is that the all the big opposition money was thrown at the senate races giving us the painful losses.

However, when I woke up this morning and saw the number of governorships and legislative seats and chambers we won, I was very happy. We’ll have deep benches for years and the electoral map of 2012 will look very different.

And that may be the massive wave at the US Senate level.

Buck up FP.

Specifics on our wonderful fortunes of yesterday.

59 house seats in the bag with 13 left to be decided (assume a pick-up of 65 seats give or take a few).

6 Senate seats with three to be decided.

Alabama Reps/Senate GOP for the first time since Reconstruction (REDISTRICTING).

North Carolina Reps/Senate GOP for the first time since reconstruction (REDISTRICTING).

Minnesota Reps/Senate GOP for the first time since God knows when (REDISTRICTING).

Pennsylvania Reps/Senate go GOP along with GOP Governor (REDISTRICTING).

ALL 3 Iowa Supreme Court Justices up for re-election were defeated for their pro-gay marriage invalidation of a voter approved bill in `08.

Maniac Grayson blown-out.

Spratt, Skelton and Oberstar all 25 plus year Dems congress critters bounced.

Dem bloodbath in Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida with Ohio, PA and FL grabbing the Governors Mansion (Sink conceded at 10:30 am), State AG and Secretary of State (making 2012 victory for Obama much, much harder because he does not control the ground game or the vote rigging apparatus - take that George Soros!) (plus REDISTRICTING).

Ohio will now join the fight against Obamacare in the Courts.

Arizona easily re-elects their Anti-illegal immigration Governor Jan Brewer.

Arizona easily passes new law making it illegal to grant special legal status or rights upon individuals based upon ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.

Oklahoma easily passes a law prohibiting state courts from considering “international law and/or SHARIA law” in arriving at decisions (I LOVE LOVE LOVE this law!!!!)

Majority of Stupak gang shown the door.

Marco Rubio fastest rising star on the GOP horizon (imagine a GOP Latino from Florida as the Veep candidate - Obama’s nightmare).

Dems have fewer than 200 seats in the House for the first time in over 60 years (184 as I type this)(24 rats who voted for Cap and Tax were bounced).

Kirk wins Obama’s old Senate seat (set phasers to Up Yours Obama!).

GOP sweep of offices in Maine (Snowe and Collins - that thing in the rearview mirror gaining fast is the Conservative movement. Play nice Snowe for the next two years or you get a pink slip in `12).

Michigan and Wisconsin Governors mansions go GOP.

Wisconsin gives Reps/Senate to GOP along woth the Gov mansion (REDISTRICTING).

Feingold canned in Wisconsin! (too bad we couldn’t get the other half of McCain-Feingold)

Susana Martinez wins the New Mexico Governors Mansion. She is Mexican-American, conservative, prolife, photogenic and very very smart. Future nightmare for Dems on possible national ticket.

Kansas passes RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS law.

South Carolina passes a law making card-check illegal in union shops within the state.

For the first time since Reconstruction all 8 constitutional statewide offices in South Carolina are GOP (along with the Reps/Senate).

Marijuana legalization loses in California .

Over 200 incumbent democrat state reps across the nation lost.

We can hoist our glasses to toast a magnificent evening of record shattering victories. Last evening set the table for many more wonderful things to help bring America back from the brink. We should all be thrilled over what the voters did yesterday

I don't think anybody mentioned that the version of “Ding-Dong, the Witch is Dead” that Rush played was by the late 60's band The Royal Guardsmen of "Snoopy and the Red Baron" fame.

From Ocala, FL, btw.

don’t forget that CA also passed and kept their non-partisan redistricting setup, which will change the picture there to some extent for quite some time to come. The extent to which the state seats and Congressional seats are gerrymandered here is truly amazing. I figure that the GOP will probably gain several seats here the next time around when probably half the districts in CA are made competitive.

I am glad you listed all the positives of the nation-wide Republican victory on Tuesday. Too many worry about not winning 10 Senate seats to take the US Senate. Let McConnnell and the other establishment Republicans remain in the minority until 2012 when they 'get their minds right'. The perks of running the Senate can come later.

There might be a chance in 2012 to take enough Senate seats to get to 60, the filibuster proof majority so as to be able to send Bills to a (hopefully) Republican President. There are 22 Democrat and 12 Republican Senate seats up for grabs in 2012. The Republicans do not have to 'run the table' to get to 60 Senate seats in 2012. Such a victory would give the Republicans something that they have never had since cloture was defined in Senate Rules during the 65th Congress in 1917 - a filibuster proof Senate, which the Democrats have enjoyed seven times since 1917.

The other big event that most seem to miss is that in a re-apportionment and re-districiting year the Republican Party has never been stronger at the State Legislature and Gubernatorial level since the 1920s! With this advantage and the current number of House seats (when finalized) House the Republicans should be able to control the House until 2020. Does not mean they will not lose House seats, but that the Republican House Majority should not get 'washed away' even in down elections - just as the Democrats maintained House control from 1955 to 1995.

Good year here in Virginia. Came close in my 11th Congressional District - have to wait for overseas ballots but Fimian may fall a few hunderd votes short... However, these 2010 Federal and State elections have finally ended the last vestiges of the 140 year-old post-Reconstruction "Democrat Solid South" with the Republican State-wide triumps in the Governors and Legislative races throughout the South.

Unfortunately no. He won with 61% of the vote. Someday he will lose. :-)
