Yesterday, once the write-in votes had been counted, it would seem to the causal reader that Murkowski has won.
But did she? Here is part of an e-mail that was sent by Bill, an observer for the Miller campaign.
the title of the pictures speak for themselves. in the Penny Mayo picture, it shows an X over Lisa's filled in oval, and this was counted for Lisa. I personally witnessed a case where Joe's oval was filled in, with an X over it, and Lisa filled in too. She called it for Lisa, the logic being, "the other ovals were filled in normally, so the one for Lisa must be the one that's the right vote, so Joe's doesn't count.
So one time the X-'d oval over Joe = Lisa vote !
The other time with the X-'d oval over Lisa = Lisa vote
Murcowshit = Lisa vote ! Muskisk = Lisa vote !
Bill
As Bill stated, the pictures speak for themselves.
As you can see a vote for McAdams wound up being a challenged vote for Murkowski. And you have to ask, what happened with the ballot that has the blue ink written in when the voter used a black pen? The vote was counted for Lisa Murkowski which contradicts how the Alaska Division of Elections counted the oval crossed out next to Murkowski's name.
Moreover, the vote count on Monday, had Joe Miller at 90448 and the current vote tally is the same. According to observers, there were write-in votes for Joe Miller, but they were not counted.
The count stands at 102028 and given the State of Alaska did not count any absentee ballots today, you have to ask, how did the State of Alaska come up with the 103569 figure with no new ballots coming in?
According to a very reliable source, the vote total of 92715 for Murkowski seems to have a doubled count tally of 1501 votes that were challenged but not counted.
The reason for the challenge was, the votes did not have the oval filled in. Moreover, it seems the Alaska Division of Election and Murkowski want to disenfranchise the people in the military because there are overseas ballots that remain to be counted and they favor Joe Miller
So right now, Murkowski's vote total of 92715 should have 1501 votes deducted which would bring her tally to 91214. And when you take the 91214 and subtract Joe Miller's (yesterday's unchanged) count of 90448, the vote count has Murkowski ahead by 666. (Ohh boy, find a voter exorcist in a court of law to exorcise the demons found in the vote tally.)
And if a court rules in Joe's favor, expect Murkowski's head to spin.
And the MooCowSki has no milk for her MooCher voters.
I am just outside casual observer, but this looks like old Lisa is trying to steal an election. Alaska has to get this right. So you Republicans that know this what is taking place need to do everything possible to stop this. It’s hard to believe that many people would write in a vote for Lisa.
the 2nd one is definite fraud, the oval is in black ink and then its changed with blue ink.
When I once observed counting of votes, those pictured ballots were deemed “over-votes” and DID NOT COUNT for ANYONE. BY LAW. Where has logic gone?
More evidence that “common sense” is an oxymoron.
WTF is going on up there???
exactly, if you change your mind, you ask for a new ballot, otherwise voter intent is indeterminable, sounds like someone has been into the ballot box changing votes. I’d look and see if certain handwriting keeps coming up.
What are you talking about? I always use two different pens when I vote, I thought this was common practice? /s
Whether she succeeds or not, this thing is starting to make 2000 Florida and “hanging chads” look plain ordinary.
It’s pretty obvious isn’t it?
Murkowski’s political machine is going to steal this election for her. It would take a miracle at this point to stop her. By hook or crook she is going to hang onto that seat.
She may have been calling herself a Republican all these years, but the plain fact and bitter truth is that she is a political whore of the worst sort and concerned with nothing more than her own power and privilege.
Her recent remarks on not wanting Obama to fail make that point very clearly. She is not and probably has never been a Conservative.
>>> the Alaska Division of Election and Murkowski want to disenfranchise the people in the military because there are overseas ballots that remain to be counted and they favor Joe Miller
By that sort of reasoning, one minute after the polls closed the voters for each candidate over the entire state were disenfranchised because their votes hadn’t yet been counted. Never mind how the counting process always scheduled the military votes for last to give them time to arrive.
These complaints are sounding more and more like Bev Harris territory.
And I just now noticed we have a LIKE button option now. Interesting addition to the software.
Notice how Joe Miller is described as ‘BITTER’ in AP report.
JUNEAU, Alaska — An optimistic Sen. Lisa Murkowski headed back to her home state Wednesday after widening her lead over bitter rival Joe Miller to more than 10,400 votes.

What are the instructions on the ballot in case you change your mind? Cross it out using an “X” then fill in your new choice?
If so the first one should count for McAdams. The second one shouldn’t count for anyone because it’s a fraud based on the two colors of ink.
That is a SPOILED BALLOT. Also known as an “overvote”. It cannot be judged admissible.
I recommend she take many trips in small planes to visit remote areas of her constituents...
Posession/use of weed is not a crime up here - at least if you don’t drive.
Up to 3 oz for ‘personal use’ is OK.
So, that may explain at least some of the voting, eh?
I’d expect the 2nd one to be rejected because of the old “marked ballot” law. Even if you assume the person changed their own mind, by writing that on the ballot, and putting their initials on the ballot, they have “marked” their ballot, making it identifiable as to WHO cast it.
Marked ballots are always rejected. This is to ensure that nobody can sell their votes. Even when they discussed Miller’s write-ins being counted, they noted that if there were other things that “marked” the ballot the ballot would be thrown out.
BTW, lots of votes were thrown out in the Minnesota race because of the “marked ballot” rule. It is one case where the clear intent of the voter does not matter, because of the importance of not having the chance of people getting paid for voting a certain way.
The 1st ballot should definitely NOT be a lisa vote. First, there are two ovals filled in, making it an overvote. second, her oval is x’d out, so by voter intent you would say the intent was to not vote for her.
And third, the name is spelled wrong.
don't worry....all will be good....we have seen teh enemy now in their bold faced lies of destruction...
I hope Miller sees this to the end, just so the law is established and the rats don't think they can get away with this any longer...
If the laws are enforced, I believe Miller has a good chance of winning. Alas, the Murkowski rot has deep roots in the Alaska political machine and at this stage, I have little confidence that the judges who will be hearing the various suits are going to be impartial.
I do agree, quite strongly, that Miller should fight this tooth and nail to the bitter end. If Republicans had been more aggressive, determined and alert in Minnesota, we might have been able to stop Franken from stealing that seat.
