I'm content to watch this all play out for the moment. As of right now, looking at the list of likely contenders, Palin would be my first choice.

Ditto. We shall see. But, one thing is certain. Obamacare MUST be repealed in its entirety. If the SOB in the White House is left in, we will be shackled to the Fed-Gov until the economy collapses, and then some.

The ancient Chinese sage Confucius once said, “Wisdom is, when you know something, knowing that you know it; and when you do not know something, knowing that you do not know it.”

Thank you! I’ve read too many threads that disintegrated quickly into back and forth squabbling over..... nothing more than different perceptions about something. I sit here and read...and can clearly see what’s going on. I almost pull my hair at the incivility expressed by people I would have thought knew better. I usually hesitate, then avoid jumping into the fray because I know my own tendencies to a sharp tongue. Have spent decades trying to grow into a moral, honest Christian woman.... then I spout off again..... oh well, we grow more each day....when we are honest with ourselves..... only with honesty.

Glad we’re square! :~))

She seems too “nice”. Reagan could be warm, and he seemed like he was probably “nice”, though I don’t think anyone knew how “nice” he really was behind the scenes. But he could also be steely cold - “I Paid For This Microphone” and “Mr Gorbachev, Tear Down This Wall”. Could Sarah make either of those statements and be taken seriously? I don’t know.

Reagan spent decades adding gravitas to his resume before being elected president.

1. We don't have decades to wait for a strong conservative warrior like Sarah.
2. We don't have any time to wait to stop the communist coup.
3. Sarah must strike NOW while her brand is hot.
4. Sarah has plenty of "Gravitas" but more importantly she, like Reagan, understands what Ameica is all about, America's founding Judeao-Christian principles and that the Constitution is the foundation of our laws.

I repeat “policy wonks are a dime a dozen” ...Todd’s advice will be invaluable. You’ll recall Nancy was the Gipper’s most trusted adviser.

I am not ready to tie our fortunes to another Christine O’Donnell.

Sarah Palin has a LONG way to go to establish her credibility.

And imo she is going in the wrong direction right now.

My parents were some of the first to buy her boo and even stood in line to get it autographed when she came to town.

Buy her boo? Freudian typo? Your parents bought her boo and now are booing her?

He ended the conversation by sticking his finger in his mouth making the gagging gesture.

What, your father is 14? I don't buy your story. Boo hoo!

1- The boo typo appeared because I was attempting to FReep on my new Android phone. I am on my laptop now so you don’t have to worry about that.

2- YOU are the one who is arguing like a 14 year old.

I believe she could. Checkout this interview with Matt Lauer. She ain't given an inch.

Someone like Huckabee, for instance, would more than likely be giving his best "can't we all just get along" Rodney King impersonation.

Barack Obama has brought more power into DC than Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson altogether.

You think the MSM shilled for him in 2008? You haven’t seen nothing compared to whats coming.

If DC has ANY say whatsoever..the Rinocratic Oligarchy isn’t going to let their golden boy go anywhere. Neither will they willingly give back ANY power.

We the People have our work cut out. 2008 was a literal drop in the bucket if we intend to have our country back. It will be a multi-election cycle effort that will require well-delineated gains each time. It will start in each of the local election precincts in each state..because the fraud by which Blue-states keep electing Red candidates is rooted in the community.

Most on FreeRepublic can’t begin to imagine the kind of pre-election runup the powers that be are gonna give ‘Bammy...and what’ve you’ve seen dumped on Palin so far...is just a minimum of what’s to come.

Did you borrow that idea from the Food Network Online? I licked it and all I got was a wet video screen.;-)

It's a bit of a challenge isn't it? Do you use the speech-to-text? It works really pretty good but it doesnt' capitalize so you have to edit it or risk FReeper remarks!

I agree.

And Reagan as an actor had the voice and delivery that was a joy to listen to.
This is all Sarah needs. She has everything else.

I really hate the way the phone “corrects” your words without telling you.

On an earlier post this morning it “corrected” my word Jindal (as in GOP Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal) and replaced it with “Mondale.”

I didn’t notice it until I hit the “post” button.

(why is it that my best proof reading happens in that split second AFTER I hit the submit key and BEFORE the page goes away and the new one comes on?

You have to get used to looking at the list of word buttons and pressing the one you want or it just uses the one IT wants. Frustrating at first, faster later. Good luck!
