The problem is neither ‘Global Warming’ or ‘Climate Change’ The real problem are politicians and the EPA who think they have found the goose which lays the golden eggs in form of more and more taxes along with more rules and regulations enough to kill the economy. Bureaucrats have gone amok in this country much to the detriment of the population. I do believe, not that I like to see it happening, that it may take some event of Biblical proportion to get this country back on the right course the way it had started out.

If there is a food shortage, then why are we converting our food into fuel?

Freezing Temps Worldwide May Lead To Food Shortages

To paraphrase one movie quote (sorry, don’t know which one):

“D-mn this global warming and all the pain and suffering it causes!!!”

You’re request reminds me of a joke in the old Soviet Union about what to do in the event of a nuclear reactor accident. The joke went; “Wrap yourself in a sheet and walk slowly to the cemetery.’’ Why slowly? “So as not to cause a panic’’. Merry Christmas.

If we had not had such a large increase in atmospheric CO2 (only a tiny fraction of which came from human activity), we’d be having to use a whole lot more land to produce the same amount or maybe even less of food. And we’re still far, far below CO2 levels required for optimum plant growth.

The rainbow is a clue to climate consistency.

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

While mankind may pride himself into thinking he has control over climate, God continues to prove man the ignorant one.

Reminds me of the 1970’s another scare...

Science: Another Ice Age?

http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,944914,00.html

My husband just finished cleaning off our roof a couple days ago in a few spots there was 3 feet of snow on it and the weather report says another blizzard is coming next weekend.

This doesn’t happen every year but this is certainly not the first year it’s happened many times through out the years so it is NOT out of the ordinary. Those of us who are old enough have severe weather many times over the years.

I love drying most things. They just taste better than canned, I dried 20# of asparagus last spring when it was .99¢ a pound if I can find it again in spring this year I’ll go for atleast 50#. I make a asparagus potato and cheese soup that is one of our favorites and the asparagus tastes like it was just picked.

Earth has shown a slight increase in forested acres every year since the Surveyor satellites were launched (1968).

All that "extra" CO2 is going to good effect. You'd think the Greens would approve of the outcome...

Amazing that the EPA wants to shut down coal power plants and the EPA uses this global warming hoax to justify it’s actions. We have to fire up more coal power plants not close them down as the EPA wants to do .

Good observation.

The timing of EVERYTHING since 9/11 and specifically during 0bama's Presidency is conspicuous to say the least.

Yeah, ha ha. I got my cousin's wife all bent out of shape when, after she had gone on a rant on the family email server about the anti-environmental policies of the Republicans, I pointed out to her that we have more forest cover in both the United States and the world than at any time over the past 100 years. Then after she alleged a biased source for that, I pointed out that the statistics were from the U.N.. Ha ha ha, that was SOOOOOO sweet. Haven't heard any more such rants.

Isn't it ironic that the Tree Huggers are behind the drive to drastically restrict CO2 emissions?

More evidence demonstrating that the environmental movement isn't really about the environment.

Well, the main gas they've all been huffing is methane.

Simply astonishing, isn’t it? People enjoy all the wonderful fruits of abundant and low-cost energy — warm houses, plentiful food, transportation to take you anywhere you want to go on a moment’s notice, an unimaginable variety of products delivered right to your door from all over the world — and I guess they are so guilt- and angst-ridden they succumb to the global warming hoax. I could take them seriously if they would walk the talk, ie, go live in caves, grow their own crops and club animals to death for food. Instead they turn to government to willingly destroy everything we have worked for as a civilization.

The whole thing is driven by a few people wanting to get stinking rich off the scam (Wall Street, some entrepreneurs, lots of politicians and university professors, commodity traders and charlatans such as Gore) and the rest are simply useful idiots.

You earn the g_w seal of approval for THAT one. Bookmarked and stolen for later use.

Cheers!

...oh, and Merry Christmas!

You done good, shutting her up! I find it interesting that Libs are the first to inject their politics out there in conversations, then they get steamed when a valid rebuttal counters them, protesting that you shouldn't discuss politics. One of my sisters and her husband does that. Last time I effectively countered her liberal rant in an email she stated she is no longer opening my emails. Libs throw it out there but can't take the truth.
