Wisconsin limits collective bargaining rights for gov workers

The Wisconsin state senate has passed legislation limiting collective bargaining for state employees. This was accomplished via legislation that did not involve fiscal matters, thus lowering the threshold for a quorum. The remainder of the current dispute, involving wages and benefits, have already been agreed to by the unions, who can be expected to withdraw the offer.

There is talk of a recall campaign to punish Republican legislators, and unions have access to millions of dollars and large numbers of people.

But the facts on the ground have changed in Wisconsin tonight, as the GOP in effect called the Democrats' bluff.

With all the union money that will be going into these recalls, the national tea parties better get engaged up in Wisconsin or the Republicans will lose.

It seems to me that recalling the absent ‘Rats would be a lot easier, except in the bluest districts.

Great news to wake up to.

Those missing Senators may as well stay missing, because the Libtards who once branded them heroes, will now be calling them cowards.

Absolutely. The reasons and rational for why this is needed MUST be competently explained over and over again.

It should be easy to show the collusion between public unions and the politicians they donate to and then negotiate with, how collective bargaining for the public unions is thus anti-taxpayer.

Show examples of abuse, outrageous salaries, bonuses, etc, that have resulted, compared with the results we taxpayers get, such as poor student performance.

Are there any examples like snow piling up b/c the union is protesting something like in NYC not long ago?

Most people "know" this legislation is needed, but they need to be reminded why and some just need the education.

For the love of liberty, the RNC or someone who wants their job after the next elections needs to step up and explain it.
