Our One Party System: Americans Still Don't Get It (Boehner Mconnell and Rove Are Libs)
04/08/2011 | PRR

Posted on 04/08/2011 11:32:08 PM PDT by USSR Didnt Fall

I have addressed this before, but just want to repeat the fact that we have a one party system in this nation.

I predicted that Boehner and the boys were going to bow down to the statist agenda just the way the Bush administration (Rove and the boys) were going to sound the alarm bells of a government shut down.

Let's face it folks, the republican leadership along with the prior administration are STATISTS.

This is why they attack conservatives during elections, and turn around and tell us that we must not shut down DC.

These are the same who say that Obama is a formidable candidate yet someone like Palin is unqualified.

This ONE party system in America consists of the leadership in the republican party who are helpful agents for this fundamental transformation.

Bush and his father were leftist along with most in their administrations.

America is on the brink and Boehner and the leadership refuses to defund Obamacare, make an effort to reduce the deficit or send a message by shutting down DC.

The American people must demand the removal of these republicans elites and denounce those like Rove who carry water for the statist in the name of compassionate conservatism.

The political battle lines are drawn; the American people vs the democrats and republican establishment.

This is like watching wrestling, as the audience cheers on their masked heroes, as they take turns performing rehearsed acrobats for the audience of ignorant believers.

This must be a libertarian thread I have stumbled onto. Bad attitude here. Especially when you talk third party. When the Tea Party goes third party, I’m out of it. The whole idea was to make change from within, not without. I don’t like to hear talk of third parties, a sure road to defeat and failure. Take this talk elsewhere.

BINGO!!!! You couldn't be more on the mark! The OP(formerly the GOP) came to power in the mid 1850's. The RATs came to power before that time. During that time they have grown the scope of government far beyond the enumerated powers granted to Congress in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution making it cost prohibitive for we the people. Both have controlled Congress for nearly 160 years. The OP is part of one big socialist Republicrat machine that has no intention of relinquishing their Unconstitutional power. The OP didn't address the root cause of the reason why federal spending is out of control.

The only way to reduce federal spending is by Congress returning to the limited government principles the founding fathers instilled in the Constitution. That can only be accomplished by eliminating all federal agencies that are not in compliance with any of the enumerated powers in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. Any budget proposal that does not force Congress back within the confines of Article 1 Section 8 is nothing more than smoke and mirrors.

Sure. The MSM is defining Communism as center left and Socialism as center right. Fox News for example is Liberal but declared far right. I was considered Liberal in the 60’s and have never really changed my philosophy but now am taken as a Far Right. Ridiculous. It is the same old good cop bad cop scam of Big Government.

Not a “third” party — a “Replacement” party.

Anyone who supports the current GOP with one thin dime is clearly suffering from a pathological case of denial and shares responsibility for the mess we find ourselves in today. It is the GOP “enablers” that have empowered the bastards to saddle our children, grandchildren and several generations beyond with this crippling debt — presuming the country survives as a constitutional republic at all.

The GOP impacts how primaries are conducted; impacts leadership; Impacts committee chairs; etc. etc. etc. How many times will you sell your country down the river, just so you can keep propping up the GOP so it can back-stab you again & again?

The country *desperately* needs the GOP to go the way of the whigs. We absolutely DO NOT need a third-party. We need to eliminate the GOP and replace it *COMPLETELY*. How that gets accomplished is beyond me. All I know (confidently) is that until it happens, the Boehners. McCains, Grahams, Snowes, etc will have the controlling influence over leadership decisions and can *only* be counted on to fold like a cheap card-table when it counts. It’s what they do. It’s what they have *ALWAYS* done consistently. For you or anyone else to expect a different outcome with the same, GOP dominated, beltway-insider, spineless leadership is the very definition of insanity.

As one who respects and admires all the tea party has done (and I feel will do), FR seems to be the recent home to a gaggle of loons who would rather destroy the Republic than fight for it. They are the same people who urged Americans not to vote for John McCain (admittedly a very poor choice), and then complained when we got Obama. We are in a war for the survival of the Republic, and some would just as soon use an atomic bomb as the ballot box to do the cleansing.

This battle for the 2011 budget has brought to the attention of most sentient Americans that there is a war to be waged, and it will be a long one. This week’s skirmish sets the stage for struggles to come. It may not have been a total victory for Conservatives, but it is the Democrats who came out of it bloodied (and dispirited).

Now here’s what you can next expect to read on FR in the next few months: Paul Ryan is a bozo; Paul Ryan’s budget is a farce; Rand Paul is Ayn Rand in drag.

They're not even talking about returning to the limited government principles within the confines of the enumerated powers in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution.

Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the crazy left were not created in a day.

Precisely. This is a good first step. Rep. Ryan's budget is a good second one, arguably the one that needs the energy and fight that the shutdown would have required. Let's hope the Republicans will stand together and stand firm.

That’s what got us McCain and will probably get us (as a nominee-but NO President: Romney, Daniels, etc..).

Precisely.....and that is how the GOP works. I’ve been voting for 45 years and am STILL waiting to see significant progress in our war on the left. All we get is a “battle” now and then with the promise that “The best is yet to come”.......and so we continue to back them.....and we wait.......and we wait.....

It appears we had our Lucy/Football moment last night. I wonder if Boehner cries when he falls on his back?
