Donald Trump's "birther" comments are no joke for Jerry Seinfeld.
The 56-year-old comedian has canceled his appearance at a benefit for Donald Trumps Eric Trump Foundation because the real estate mogul has been questioning whether President Obama was born in America.

Seinfeld was expected to attend the September 13 event benefiting St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, but his rep tells CNN that Seinfeld has indeed pulled out of the engagement because of the remarks Trump has been making about the President.
Trump responded to Seinfelds move with a letter, writing, "I just learned you canceled a show for my son's charity, The Eric Trump Foundation, which benefits the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (children with cancer) because of the fact that you think I am being very aggressive with respect to President Obama, who is doing an absolutely terrible job as our leader - just look at Libya, our economy, gas, food, and clothing prices and maybe you will understand what is going on!"
Its not so much that Seinfeld pulled out of the benefit, Trump goes on, although the children of St. Jude are very disappointed" and "Bret Michaels, disgusted by what happened, is taking over."
"What I do feel badly about is that I agreed to do, and did, your failed show, 'The Marriage Ref,' even though I thought it was absolutely terrible, Trump wrote. Despite its poor ratings, I didn't cancel on you like you canceled on my son and St. Jude. I only wish I did."
Seinfeld had agreed to do the benefit back in January, but according to his manager, he became increasingly uncomfortable with Trumps questioning of Obamas citizenship.....

Perfect.
I thought Seinfeld was Mrs. David, more or less...
Ouch, that hurt.
*******
Just wondering: If Trump somehow gets his hands on a copy of an Obama long form birth certificate between now and election day Nov. 2012, and Trump finds out that the birth certificate proves beyond a shadow of doubt that Obama has been lying to the American public about his past all these years, will Seinfeld make a public apology to Trump for the bad things he said about Trump and for cancelling the St. Jude charity appearance?
I hope so. But don't hold your breath.
Thanks
So Seinfeld self-identifies as a child-hating peckerwood.
Why am I not shocked?
I’ve heard that plenty of American Jews really don’t give a crap about Israel. Leftist politics are more important to them than the country that was created for them. Makes no sense to me, but that’s what I’ve heard.
Whatever else Trump is or isn’t he certainly is not emasculated like somany on the right.
It’s not quite that they don’t give a crap. I would say that 100% of the Jews I know, including all the weenie libs, DO express great care and interest in Israel, but they choose not to believe things that go against their first religion, Liberalism. I tried to tell people about Obama’s support for these Pali leaders and his law school being paid for by the Saudis, etc. but they don’t believe it. They think these are crazy right wing rumors.
Also, if they are in a liberal college or sending their kids there, they will be brainwashed into thinking that “Israel’s not perfect” and that they should bend into pretzels for “peace.”
They do care about Israel and send their kids there, buy things from there, etc. But they just don’t “get” — it has not reached their frontal lobes - that LIBERALS TODAY ARE ISRAEL’S ENEMIES. And the religious Christian right wingers are her best friends!
They go to Europe and get that people can be unpleasantly anti-semitic there, but they don’t understand that Obama is worse than the Europeans, and can do more damage.
Odd, I don’t recall Seinfeld getting all political when Bush was being slammed into the ground. Idiot
