These people need to understand that the birth certificate is about WITNESSES (or maybe just one witness). It used to be that one needed witnesses to testify to ones citizenship. Birth certificates were essentially created to have an otherwise unrelated individual (the doctor, or midwife) testify to having witnessed a birth. NO DOCTOR OR MIDWIFE, or anyone else, HAS TESTIFIED UNDER PENALTY OF PURJURY AS TO THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF OBAMA'S BIRTH. He has NO WITNESSES.

Nana
“I dont buy this Hawaii only has the COLB story... “
And you would be right. What 0dumbo tries to pass off is a CERTIFICATION of Live birth not a birth certificate.
yes Hi still has and issues long form or original brith certificates.
There is a thread today on FR where the former director of the health dept in HI was shown to be a LIAR. Fukino said Hi no longer issued original BC/s
yet someone got one less than a month ago and posted it.

The coverup and deliberate lies being done for 0dumbo should be exposed.

Canadian Peter Jennings becomes a U.S. citizen
USA Today | July 8, 2003 | By Peter Johnson, USA TODAY

Posted on 7/11/2003 7:03:41 PM by holyscroller

ABC News anchor Peter Jennings, a Canadian, once described his mother, Elizabeth, as “pretty anti-American.” Which may explain why it took him until nine years after her death to do what he has been thinking about doing for some time: become a U.S. citizen.

“It would have been a very difficult family issue when my mom was alive,” Jennings said Tuesday. He announced over the weekend that after 39 years of working at ABC News, here and abroad, he now pledges allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. He also is keeping his Canadian citizenship...

I think she meant that the US doesn’t recognize naturalized US citizens as duel citizens as Kawakita was 14th Amendment citizen because of the Wong Kim Ark SCOTUS decision.

Here’s an interesting note. Kawakita after some years in jail, he was given the option to leave the country as a stipulation of release from jail if he never comes back the the United States in the early 60s. He took the deal.

I wasn’t required to renounce my British citizenship in 2004 when I was naturalized. I guess I have dual citizenship although I no longer have a valid British passport and don’t consider myself as anything other than an American. I still have an accent and when people ask me if I’m British I respond “not anymore”.

So, if that’s the case and this economy is Bushes fault(cough, gag).

I won't do a data dump on this thread. It sounds like you're ignorant of Bush's actions during his first term which actually did harm the economy. If you'd like to read the facts instead of spouting Karl Rove's propaganda, feel free to visit my FR home page.

Do you know what is so very sad about this Obama long form birth controversy?

1. This is what is so sad about it: After the Nov. 2012 presidential election is over, states will be rushing to pass presidential eligibility laws in preparation for the Obama-less 2016 presidential elections and beyond, such as elections in 2020, 2024, 2028, elections that will occur long after Obama has gone.

2. My prediction: I predict that soon after the 2012 election and before the 2016 presidential elections, EVERY state will have a presidential eligibility law in effect, and I bet that most of those laws will look pretty close to the presidential eligibility bill that Arizona Gov. Brewer recently vetoed.

3. I can't believe that state lawmakers won't go ahead and pass presidential eligibility laws before the 2012 presidential elections, when they know in their hearts that once the 2012 presidential election is over, they will rush to pass presidential eligibility laws so that an Obama-type long form birth certificate circus never happens again beginning with the 2016 presidential election.

4. Yes, it so sad to say but cowardly state lawmakers will wait until AFTER the 2012 presidential election is over to step up to the plate and be counted by passing a long-needed presidential eligibility law, a law that will probably look like the Arizona bill recently vetoed by the coward Governor Brewer of Arizona.

> I wish someone would clear up this argument about Hawaii
> only having a COLB

According to this learned article, HI at the time of Obama’s
birth, issued both a “short form” COLB and a “long form” COLB.
The latter contained a lot more information (which Mr. Obama
evidently doesn’t want us to see). See the 4th para of the
article, though the entire thing is well worth reading.

I’m not ignorant of Bush’s actions. What I’m saying is if your going to blame Bush more than 2 years out, then you have to give Bush the elder created for the great economy Clinton had.

...nahhhh, the new world order Bushies get NO credit, but yes you should credit Reagan for the Clinton business climate and the Repub Congress for the spending getting back to near revenues while Clinton asked for spending of $250 Billion deficits for as far as the eye could see! W killed the Repubs with RinoRove’ help to provide an easy path of Bush weary voters giving the emptysuit 0bamao a try...

What I’m saying is if your going to blame Bush more than 2 years out, then you have to give Bush the elder created for the great economy Clinton had.

Bush senior didn't give us anything but what he called a, 'revenue enhancement', thus breaking his campaign promise of "Read My Lips. No New Taxes", which resulted in him being promptly unelected.

Reagan decreased the top marginal tax rate from 70% to 50%, then down to 28%. Bush senior increased the marginal tax rate back up from 28% to 31%. And, Clinton, then increased it again to 39%.

So, if you want to give Clinton credit for inheriting anything, he inherited Reagan's economy, one that Bush senior previously derided as "Voodoo Economic Policy.".

None of this changes the facts that Bush junior, like his daddy before him, comes from a long line of Wall Street bankers and it was this constituency for whom he acted when he opened the US banking and real estate market to Mexican illegal aliens.

Joy is such an idiot apologist.

Uh hey stupid, did the media vet President Obama?!

Do you realize that even the governor of Hawaii had to give up his quest in search of Obama’s actual birth certificate because he can't find it.

Do you understand that Hawaii's position on no longer releasing the actual birth certificate is only a recent rule. Oddly enough established after people were trying to determine Obama's eligibility.
