Looks to me like the link went directly to the image file. I saw a funny, tongue-in-cheek cartoon. No ads and no links to some supposedly evil blog sites. Not even any additional commentary.

Would you accuse Michelle Malkin of blog-pimping if she posted a link to her site? You do know she started out as a blogger, right? What is so freaking evil about blogging?

FR respects (because lawsuits forced the issue) the desire of many news outlets and commentators not to use anything more than a link and/or an excerpt. So it seems that the big corporate guys can enforce their will, but the little guy, the independent, entrepreneurial, free market, free speech, capitalist gets no respect and continual snide comments and attacks from the self-appointed anti-blogging overlords.

The guidelines say don’t spam FR with links to your site. An occasional post, especially one like this one, hardly qualifies as spam i my humble opinion.

I would ask if I am missing something, but I have little doubt that I will get several flaming posts directed at me telling me exactly what I am missing.
