Early New Hampshire Polls Solid for Romney
Elephant Watcher ^ | April 26, 2011

"As always, all of the latest state polls for early primaries are available on the Primaries page. There are still very few polls being done in New Hampshire. Only two of them have been conducted since Trump's political media appearances began:

4/21 ARG -- Romney 32, Trump 17, Gingrich 8, Giuliani 8

4/03 PPP (D) -- Romney 27, Trump 21, Gingrich 12, Huckabee 12

2/14 WMUR/UNH -- Romney 40, Huckabee 7, Pawlenty 7, Palin 6

Individual polls mean little because the chance of inaccuracy is so high. But if they are all in agreement upon a certain point, it's likely to be true. Here, the conclusion to be drawn is that Romney will start the race in very good shape in New Hampshire...."

Dems are praying Romney’s the one. Couldn’t beat McLame last time and no Mormon can get elected. No evangelicals will vote for him. Also, sacred underwear looks like a big issue. Only hope is a Chritie/Rubio or the reverse ticket.

Rubio is not eligible too.

So the list goes: Obama, McCain, Romney, Rubio - all ineligible.

If Mitt Romney’s father was born in Mexico, then Mitt is ineligible too

So now your parents have to born here too? You guys change the rules too damned much for me to ever keep up.

Is Trump ineligible because his mother was born in Scotland?

What about Rubio and/or Jindal?

If Mitt’s father was a citizen at the time of Mitt’s birth, Mitt is eligible.

Trump’s mother first got Citizenship - e.g. naturalized. Then Trump was born - e.g. both Trump’s parents were U.S. Citizens, Trump being born in U.S. - it follows it is eligible for a president.

no - for a president, both parents need to be just U.S. Citizens, can be naturalized - like Trump’s mother.

Mitt Romney was anchor baby, Romney’s mother was pregnant with Mitt and with his father crossed the border illegally.
Mitt’s father was born in Mexico and this a Mexican citizen.
The 1882 Edmunds Act stripped polygamists of the basic rights of U.S. citizenship, denying them the right to vote, serve on juries or hold office - not a chance Mitt’s father to be born in Mexico and to be U.S. Citizen.

So you expect his father obtained U.S. Citizenship by acquisition before Mitt was born? That means up to 6-7 months after they crossed the border illegally he obtained U.S. Citizenship?

Romney father - born in Mexico, a Mexico Citizen.

George Romney was never a mexican citizen. And his parents always maintained their US citizenship. Not exactly as cut and dry as you want it to be.

BTW, John McCain was born in Panama.
