OBAMA HAS SHOWN THE WORLD THAT HE WAS NOT BORN TO A U.S. CITIZEN FATHER, SO WHY IS HE IN THE WH?

Obama has now personally and publicly acknowledged, albeit with the ‘silliness’ of an eight-year-old with a crayon and a piece of security paper*, that he is not a natural born Citizen – as defined by the Constitution:

1. Article II, Section 1:5 says that only a ‘natural born Citizen’ shall be eligible to the Office of President; 2. Article I, Section 8 says that Congress (under the authority granted by the People) shall have the power to… define and punish… Offenses against the Law of Nations; 3. The Law of Nations says that:

1.‘The natives, or natural born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens’; 2.‘As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights’; 3.‘The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children’; 4.‘To be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.’ Now that Congress has been made fully (and publicly) aware that an ineligible non-natural born Citizen is occupying the Office of President and Commander in Chief (they could not be so stupid as to not know – see ‘Something Stupid This Way Comes’), it becomes incumbent upon them to begin impeachment proceedings immediately, lest their failure to act previously – or especially now that they and the whole world knows – makes them chargeable with Misprision of Treason.

Read your own citation:
“The following shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth: (a) a person born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof;”

Perhaps you should read it yourself.
Does it say..."shall be natural born citizens, nationals and citizens of the United States at birth:?
The men who wrote and established that section of the law simply would have written it in if it were within their means, wouldn't they?

Wait! Are you one of those people who think the USC doesn’t allow an income tax?
Wait! Are you one of those people who thinks that commas don't mean something?
Nah, they're just typos, right?

They have many optional rules. Your knowledge of grammar is on par of your knowledge of law.

How about you post the specific sections of US code which back up your contention that someone who has a father that was born abroad is not a natural born citizen and we'll go from there.

I posted a link to the current US citizenship law. I am going to go out on a limb and assume that as a US citizen, 0bama's mother was under the jurisdiction of the US, and as a result of her son being born in the US, he is a natural born citizen.

The birther issue is done.

No way in Dante's Inferno could any such thing have happened, especially not in 1884!
Damned skippy!

And Title 8 governs aliens. It isn't "Citizens and Nationality", is it?

How hard is that to understand?

Not hard at all. Except that 0bama is not an alien, as he was born in Hawaii. Laws applying to naturalization of aliens do not apply to natural born citizens like 0bama.

Under The Constitution, if every person in the US voted for 0bama, he still should not qualified be in the WH

You state it like this some sort of agreed upon fact. But if no politician will state it publicly and take action then it really goes nowhere. I haven't heard anyone of stature make the case that Obama is not a NBC. Not one. It is completely off the radar of the politicians and American public. So I fail to see how anyone gains any traction with this issue.

In 1843, at the time of Arthur’s birth, his father had already obtain his U.S. citizenship.

Didn't someone (D'Onofrio?) discover in 2008 that Chester Arthur's father didn't become a U.S. citizen until Arthur was 14 years old? This mean's Arthur's father WAS NOT a citizen at Arthur's birth, so Arthur wasn't a natural born United States citizen.

Did you read reply 55?
You posted a law concerning aliens, not citizens.

It was much less than 50% wasn't it? I thought Nader and Keyes siphoned off some of the Conservative votes.

You're making my argument for me!
pnh102 - I posted a link to the current US citizenship law.
You're using a law that covers aliens as the source of authority when such a thing can't exist unless he was an alien.
If he were a "natural born citizen" you would be citing the Constitution instead of a law enacted by Congress.

That isn’t the definition of natural born. Both parents must be citizens so that there is no divided loyalty.

Again, where is the law that states this?

And again, 0bama was born in Hawaii, a US state, to a woman who was a US citizen and under the jurisdiction of the US. Ergo, he is a natural born citizen. If you read the link I posted, you will notice that US citizenship law makes no distinction between citizens born in the US. They are all natural born citizens.

Yeah, but Congress has never assumed the power to define and punish this offense. It IS fraud, so at the least that makes it an impeachable offense, but we all know there isn’t nearly enough support in the Senate for getting 67 votes together.

I've read the laws at the link you gave. I broke down the laws order in reply 55!

They are all natural born citizens.
Then you tell me the specific section where the exact words "natural born citizen" are anywhere within the laws you're using as support.
You know how to hyperlink so do it.

Right on, but they should NOT let it go for round #2 when he will try to occupy the WH again. That’s when ‘natural born citizenship’ should be emphasized once and for all.

it troubles me greatly to see that you and other members of FR are willing to throw birthers under the bus. it seems to me that if the founders used the phrase natural born citizen then it was meant to mean something, and a continuing discussion of what it means must come before abandoning the issue. making light of people who want a serious discussion of its relevance is the easy way out. see my tagline.

It isn't there because when it comes to US citizens born in the US, the law makes no distinction between "natural born citizen" and any other type of citizen who was born in the US. Like it or not, 0bama is a natural born citizen.

>>That’s when ‘natural born citizenship’ should be emphasized once and for all.<<

That issue is dead. “He was a bad POTUS and will make things worse” should be emphasized once and for all.
