I would vote for anyone that participated in that debate except for Ron Paul. But Ron Paul won it. He electrified the audience. If he gets the nomination, we’re in big trouble.

Isn't it generally conceded that Ron Paul's fans travel well? He didn't win the Frank Luntz focus group which went for Cain in a HUGH way.

Ron Paul probably had a lot of vocal college kid supporters in the room.

The “audience reaction group” (or whatever they were called) that Fox interviewed after the debate hit the nail on the head.

CAIN!

Paul’s organization is all about showing up. The problem he has is that voter’s don’t like his ideological positions as a whole. Does he have vocal loyal followers, yes, in spades. Can he poll more than 10% nationally — nope.

That isn't hard to do when an army of paulbots follow him around cheering everything he has to say.

Ron Paul will never, ever win the Republican nomination. It simply is not going to happen. The Republican party is a conservative party, not a libertarian party.

As to the winner, I would agree with many others that Cain seemed the strongest (and got better as the debate went along). Still, this debate really looked like the 2nd and 3rd tier brigade. Someone like Palin would easily demolish this group in the primaries should she chose to enter the race (and I hope she does, we need her).

Actually I'm for Ron Paul even with all his blemishes..
BUT......... RON PAUL LOST the debate....

And for me they ALL LOST.. the arguments have merely been engaged.

Please. There were 50-100 Paul supporters in the crowd who went in knowing they wouldn't follow the "no applause" rule. Their purpose was to make Ron Paul's lunatic answers look good.

Paulbots are noisy and small in number. Just look at the commotion he caused at CPAC for no reason. He has zero shot at anything other than being the but of political jokes for another season.

Herman Cain won.

Ron Paul would shutdown every US Military Post and Base everywhere in the world and bring all of our Service Members back to the Unites States. He would subsequently separate out almost all Military personnel leaving us at the mercy of whatever foreign force or faction that filled the power vacuum.

Isolationism had a terrible outcome several times in our past and would only have worse consequences in today's Modern World.
